I think the fans are definitely in for a rude awakening when they realize that it was indeed Cal bringing in these five stars kids and not the Kentucky name alone.

There is irony here in your comments, due to UK fans objecting to Calipari's reliance on recruiting 5* kids vs. recruiting the Portal. Pope hit it hard, thus using the opposite strategy to Calipari. W's will matter and MM success will be the only factor that anyone cares about.

I like the Pope hire for them. Played there and won and knows the importance of that. Calipari I felt back in 2019 say at NBA Draft he cares more about putting players in the lottery than hanging banners at Rupp rub folks there wrong way. At Kentucky it’s about the front of the jersey not the back of the jersey.
