We were down 32points to G-Town, yet we over react???? I`m getting a head ache.
Desco, we could lose by 50 and people would say that we`re over reacting.
People like Marillic and Dinkins try to sugar coat every loss instead of saying it how it really is.
and becareful, if ya say anything negative about Lavin then the post will get deleted. I love having a coach that smiles after being down 32pnts.

This is one of the most outrageous posts I have read in a while. We got the crap kicked out of us and were never in the game. Their starters were gone with 10 minutes left. Had jtiiii wanted they could have beat us by 30. It is not just the loss but the absolute shellacking we received. If you want to be calm good for you but the majority are thoroughly disenchanted. We have an experienced and deep team. Why are we starting Walkons?
Why are we not competitive?
No reason for us not to be in every game to the last second.
Personally I think the fan base is very calm as a result of poor performances for so long. Our expectations have been so diminished. It is so very sad.
When I was a fan in the 80s I expected us to be top 10 every season. Now we have fans telling us to wait until 50percent of the season is over before we should expect the team to gel.

I`m always thinking how it was in the 80s and how bad I want those days back. and by saying: "I expected top 10 every season." He means rankings, not top 10 in the conf.
I agree with SJUISBACK with regard to their being no more excuses. This team has enough raw talent to win plenty of games. Lavin and his staff have had 2+ years to cultivate that talent. That hasn't happened. This team has regressed. There is something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about, as was alluded to by other posters in previous posts. The wheels have obviously fallen off and it looks as if Lavin has lost this team. Whatever the circumstances are, Lavin is the captain of this ship and he is responsible. This is all on him. As I said previously, if this team does not make the NCAA Tournament, Lavin should be let go immediately after the tournament pairings come out. as it stands now, the only way this team is getting there is if they win the Big East Tournament. I also had a real issue with Lavin smiling after the game. Then for him to say, "Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better." in a post game interview is ridiculous. It's clear this whole thing is falling apart on him.
Marillac, I`ll tell you what. I don`t care if I get banned, if Lavin sucks as coach then I`m gonna say what`s on my mind.
If they threaten me with a ban then hey so be it. Are we in a church that we can`t say how we feel?

Marillac, respect your knowledge of game. That said, it is not a matter of what and how many games we have lost. Angst on my part is reflective of how poorly we are playing, evolving and being coached. You, I & many welcomed the Euro tour and pre season as an opportunities to work out the kinks, have a sense of effective player combinations and institute an effective system of play. Let's be honest. That has not occurred and folks have lost confidence in Lavin's ability to maximize the talent he brought here. Surely when you see the odd lineups, it appears symptomatic of glaring leadership issues. The players may be underachieving, but can't we expect Lav to instill confidence that we can achieve a solid level of play?
I am truly sad. Once again, the program is a disaster and offering little hope.

I've had 3 ARNOLD PALMERS since the game ended so I've been medicated. I agree with Mean Gene that there is obviously something happening in the Locker Room that hasn't surfaced to public knowledge.
Many thought Jordan was transferring over the Holidays when Balamou was activated after being Redshirted.. Next, Lavin has yo yoed Branch, Jordan, to some extent Greene and that isn't helping morale. Meanwhile Harrison gets to chuck poor shots, without reprisals? Sampson plays like he's in the schoolyard, without teammates.
Harrison isn't a good enough percentage shooter to be your only option offensively and Sampson is strictly one on one player..Pointer can't throw the ball in the Ocean and has no handle.
Throw in poor preparation, listless starts and no intensity and bizarre lineups, makes me think Lavin has lost his players. I hope I'm wrong but, there appears to be smoke in the Gym.
And, commenting that he should have played walkons more, does Lavin think he's a comedian.
