Very interesting interview between CMA and Andy Katz when you click on the twitter post. Katz speaks very highly of the late season improvement of the team and CMA speaks very well as to what in fact led to that big improvement. Talks about Williams, Dunn, Marcellus and Julian really playing well at the end of the season which was so true as so little was expected of those 4 preseason. Says how he really likes the returning group and really likes the recruiting class they are bringing in. Mentions two junior college all Americans and two outstanding high school players. Says he really likes the grad transfer but no mention of McGriff. I for one find it really refreshing to listen to him speak. No bs no fluff just the plain truth. Probably helps a lot when recruiting his type of player.

The season ended with St John's playing very well. My prediction is the Red Storm could be in the top 5 in the Big East with Nova, Creighton, PC and Seton Hall in '21.

If the JUCO kids make an immediate impact,, St John's could be a top 25 team in 2020-21. St John's is going to be a migrane for every coach who lines up across the court from it and Mike Anderson's only going to keep you from getting to the aspirin.

CMA reminds me of Coach Lou when he speaks, he always says the right thing or nothing at all. The man is just a real class act and 13 months after his hiring I can’t believe how far we have come and how fortunate we are. Finished last season with a winning record, a very good recruiting class, zero drama, the implementing of a new culture that was so desperately needed, and the highest team GPA ever. If I was a parent ( Monte Riley ) I would certainly be taking note.
