Charleston Classic

Haven't been to Charleston yet, but we did got to Savannah, GA on the way to NY this Summer. Plan on a return to Savannah this Winter and hopefully Charleston for the game next season. Might have to get on the golf course with Moose.

You picked the right town Bill.
Savannah kicks Charleston's butt.

Savannah and Charleston are both great cities/tourist destinations. If anyone goes to Charleston for the tournament next year you should check Jestine's, a restaurant very near the College of Charleston campus.

There is another pretty good restaurant in Charleston. It's called Hyman's. Many vacationers like to go there.

This is the best setup we could hope for. With that said, 2-1 would be a good showing this early in the season.

Is anyone staying at the Francis Marion Hotel? Seems to be the sponsored hotel.

It's nice to see eight team tourney's. Lot's of games and nobody goes home too early.

Also, good to see ESPN is covering all of the games .

Give it to Baylor! Woud love to see that and have Lavin and the boys give Gathers a nice firm handshake and a grin.

Is it me or does it seem like there is always a "BUT" when talking about us. There are five write ups on guys and they are all positive but D'Angelo's has that  little "However...." added on to his. It infuriates me a bit. I guess I should be use to it by now but I am not.

So much for a neutral site. That first game is going to be dangerous, especially for such a young team.

I also didn't want to draw the host school for the first game. If we had played them after advancing, then so be it. But, I wanted either BC or Auburn to tip-off the tournament. If we beat C of C (which I think we will end up prevailing), then I feel we're gonna end up in championship game.

Anyone else notice the two non bracketed games on the bottom of the bracket? Seems odd to schedule games against teams that there is a chance you could play in the tournament. The only advantage I can see is that you get an extra neutral site game out of it but it could be the same opponent twice in a week.

thoughts?
