I have been surprised that their guards seem to have little trouble getting past Posh and Curbello.
Their turnovers came after tight double teams and their own mistakes.

The defense is looking very “Knick” like. Guys running out at players is not defense. Need to tighten up. Effort looks like a scrimmage game so far.

The problem is we remain an awful defensive team. There is so much open space because we overplay, overplay and overplay the ball some more.

Nyiwe is a big piece when we need him for extended minutes to replace Soriano against a decent big. I don’t think he would make much of an impact in these games. That said, would certainly like him to play.

This is nonsense. So many good teams are struggling with these low major teams this year. Sit back and enjoy the game. We are going to win and be set up for a big game against nebraska on Thursday. Absolutley nothing that happens tonight is any kind of predicter of how we will play in the big east.

Love, love, love curbello. What a calming influence on the offense. He managed trhat clock perfectly at the end of the half. We have come a long way from dunn dribbling around halfcourt until 3 seconds left on the clock.

In order for us to be a top 5 BE team, we need way better team defense but also need Posh & Jones to be much better offensively than they have shown to date. We don't have an offensive weapon that is going to scare anyone in the BE.

Very poor performance so far. Way too many turnovers. Where’s Pinzon? I thought Niywe was coming back. Can we ever have a full complement of players available. It’s always something. Also, let’s not even mention that we make every team look like it’s the Golden State Warriors shooting against us.

There is certainly a correlation btwn struggling with bad teams in the pre-season and ultimately having a bad year. Definitely exceptions but it does not bode well.
