Caitlin Clark

Not only is Clark the clear cut favorite to win rookie of the year but should also be under consideration for the league MVP. While Aja Wilson is the most talented, the award is should be about who does the most to elevate her team and if so, Clark wins that hands down as well. The Fever went from a last place team to a playoff team in one season. And on another note, while other players, Reeses for example, tout their own accomplishments regularly, Clark has always been humble, mostly giving credit to her team mates and coaching staff and yes, has elevated the viewership of the entire league. Any hate that comes her way is unimaginable.

I noticed recently she's bitching on every call. She's too good for that. It's a long season, can't let her frustrations get to her.

Too hot a subject to rationally discuss from any side. What's clear is that more than likely, pretty soon the fan interest generated will be killed and the wnba can go back to obscurity.
Respectfully disagree Beast. I think the WNBA will continue to draw well just like women's soccer. Women's sports are here to stay because young girls are taking to hoops and soccer almost as much as young guys and both games are fun to watch.

Not for me. Clark's got be all in on WNBA. Haven't watched the NBA in forever. All in on the BIGEAST.

I am a big fan of how fundamentally sound women players are, having 2 daughters who played high school and AAU ball, so I can respect how some of you are big WNBA fans. Most of the stars are not household names at present, but there is an opportunity for that to change.

Clark is not (yet?) the best player in the league but has attracted so much interest and carefully chooses her words in such a way that the Clark fans have the potential to transform into WNBA fans, making everyone a lot more money in process.

The league is defintely a bigger, stronger, and more physical league than college but if the hits Clark has taken are to be accepted as such, opposing players have got to stop celebrating or laughing when Clark gets smacked around. The alternative is for Indiana to sign a version of NHL protectors who would punish any opponent who went after a star less inclined to fight back. Clark to her credit, hasn't whined about it, but maybe in year 2 she will not hesitate to dish it out in response.

Yes Marillac, Angel Reese is an exceptional talent. I think as a rookie she broke a league record for consecutive double doubles.
