Butler 2nd time

Harrison: Best scorer in the big east, a senior, has been rendered completely useless by constantly getting clobbered and run over. He straight up can't move. Never would have happened to a Duke or Cuse player. Boeheim would have been reaming refs and opposing coach over it.

So this is an honest question to everyone....and I would like an honest answer

How come when Lavin makes a dumb decision, or Branch or someone else makes a dumb play....everyone on here jumps all over them and criticizes them to no end.

But when Harrison makes a dumb play, like he did in picking up his 5th foul....no one says anything? It's like he is better than everyone else, and is above everyone's criticism.

Because without Harrison this would be the worst St. John's team. Ever.

We have yet to win a huge game under Lavin with his players

Jack, I'm as disappointed as anyone, but give him credit for the win at Syracuse. That was a big win.

With that said, we should have experienced more Momentus wins considering the talent he has recruited here.

Yes but look at Syracuse now. They aren't even a great team at all.

McCullough is out for the year on a team that's not too deep. Look at SJU when they are short a player.Don't ever discount a win at the Dome. If you are going to follow SJU in the future you will find they are few and very far between.

This was shades of the NIT loss to Robert Morris.

Team kicking our butt and we have no answers so we resort to cheap shots, technicals, isolation and just schoolyard basketball.

I honestly can't wait until the season is over and the seniors move on. Take the entire coaching staff with you.

Clean house. Start over. Goodbye Jordan & CO.

I think Jack may have meant a win a crucial game

Biggest conference win under this regime was home vs Georgetown last year.

That's simply unacceptable.

Nah, Creighton at msg. They were #13 at the time and Douggie was everybody's bff.

Listen, I'm the last person to stand up for this staff ..but they have a few "pretty gpod" wins. Not nearly enough good or great wins, but let's be honest in our criticism.

Absolutely played like garbage start to finish, but this game really give Butler a shot in the head.

Game over at the moment of the accidental elbow to the head.

Instead of using that moment-ya know, the accidental elbow moment-to motivate us, we let it unhinge us. I know D'Lo has been hampered by injuries, but his leadership skills are no longer evident. I don't get it. Without him, we've got no leader on the court.

I wonder how many times Obekpa posted on here in the second half. I mean, he must be doing something.

Going pro. WWE

What's he going to name his signature move, which is the cheap shot to the head? The Rock had the "People's Elbow". Dusty Rhodes had the "Bionic Elbow". What's left for Obekpa?

This is idiotic.
You can't blame Lavin for Harrison's injury. He plays to contact, drawing fouls is a huge part of Dlo's game. And he has a calf strain, not broken bones from a hard foul.

I can't believe I'm in the position of defending Lavin. I feel sick

This is getting very ugly very fast. And now a T on Dom. Unbelievable.

Dom loses his cool and gets a T.....is that lavins fault?

Jumbo, it starts and ends with the coach. Out of curiosity what specifically does coach do that makes you say he is a good coach?

CO really needs help. The smile should have tipped me off. If he hurts someone bad it's gonna stick to the program.

Yea dlo looks for contact on every drive and even jump shot.

But what worries me is I don't think I've seen dlo yell since the seton hall game. This team thrives off his fire. Not Dom and co cheap shots.

I was going to ask you who you are and what have you done with the real Desco! ;)

I can't wait to see Fun's blog tomorrow. At least i'll have something to laugh about after this debacle

So happy I'm stuck at work and wasn't able to watch this debacle. End of season can't come soon enough. What a shame given how it started.

This could have been another turning point for the SJU program. Here is my Doomsday prediction:
Obekpa's not coming back. If he doesn't get drafted - which is a strong possibility with his lack of offense - he'll just go to Europe or China for a year or two, earn a couple of million per year , then try for a shot in the league.
Jordan certainly not returning ...who knows what he does..not NBA ready, so could transfer or do same thing as Obekpa, just to help support his family.
You'll lose Balamou or Jones (or both) to transfer to mid-majors, because they just will get recruited over.

You can forget about Diallo.
Sampson or Doughty - probably the former - will decommit.
Whoever is the coach next year - even if it's Lavin - will have to raid the JUCO circuit just to put a team on the floor, and this will send the program into another 10 year spiral ala Post-Jarvis.
The women's program might make a Final Four before the Men's program makes another tournament.
Can we hire Tartamella?
