Bubble Watch

Alumni......out of curiosity, how do travel arrangements work once a school knows where they are headed. Is it handled by the NCAA or is it the school's responsibility to make flight and lodging arrangements? I am interest because it seems like a lot to assemble in a short amount of time.

Any insight would be appreciate....and perhaps a healthy distraction!

Current DraftKings odds to MAKE the tourney:

MSU -2000
Texas AM -750
FAU - 500
Oklahoma -275
St. John’s -140
Virginia +400
Indiana State +600

Betting markets clearly think it comes down to us vs Oklahoma

Yeah, unfortunately this doesn't really make sense since there are only 4 spots available but 5 teams favored to make it, unless if another team not listed here is unlikely to make it (such as Colorado?). Wouldn't read into the Vegas odds as a positive for us at the moment (but not necessarily a negative, either).

According to Jerry Palm we are 11 seed at Dayton playing a very tough Texas AM squad (Jamal Branch would be happy as he played for both) winner goes to Memphis…I’m fueling up today for the trek to BBQ city. Central BBQ the best cue you will ever eat. We ate there as a team back days before Norm’s last game at the FedEx Forum.
And this is for Carmine Abbatello…. http://www.westmemphisutilities.com/267/Southland-Casino-Racing
Thank you. I do like dog racing.

plot twist -- in a stunning show of conference solidarity, in protest of their conference receiving only 3 bids, and as a thank you for re-admission, d. hurley declines their invitation and opts for the NIT.

which, of course, they win. but the record books must now deploy the asterisks again. and johnnie fans -- in a flash -- go from complete disdain of the lesser hurley to swoons of admiration.

seems less far-fetched than the worst team in d1 basketball unionizing.

Last year Buzz Williams did a long manifesto after they got left out about why the should have made it. Hopefully the committee thought it was as annoying and obnoxious as everybody else did and punishes him for that this year

Seton Hall is +575 on Fan Duel to make the dance, and -1000 to not dance.

Yeah I'm trying to find a team ahead of us on Bracket Matrix not favored to make the field since we're the first team out and in 37/92 brackets (40%). Unless if a team not listed like Colorado is not favored to make it then it seems they have more teams favored to make the Dance than available spots (by one).

I did see on X that our odds just went up, which could be a positive sign:

Looking at more recent brackets, it looks like seton hall and virginia are losing steam with the bracketologists largely down to 6 teams for the final 5 spots:

FAU
MSU
Colorado
TAMU
Colorado
SJU

Currently daydreaming about a member of the committee giving an impassioned speech on behalf of St. John’s today a la Matt Damon in Air

“It’s team like this that we invented the NET for!”
