Bronx Bombers 2017 Season Thread

Nice bounce back win. Thought CC was real good. Austin was great. What a boost he could provide. Let's win this series tiday.

all 3 Boston runs came with 2 outs and both hits were by their #9 hitter Bradley.

Wish the Yanks could get some big 2 out hits.

And as I'm typing, Chapman gives up a lead off walk.

ouch. 2nd & 4th inning - left 1st & 2nd. 3rd inning - left man on 2nd. no runs.
then yanks score on 299 foot hit. go figga.
hicks' bat is colder than sanchez's glove & chapman's control.
6 weeks left. 4 games with boston in the big ball orchard in the bronx.
yanks 2 losses lead for wc #1. 3 losses lead for wc #2. put on your seat belts, its going to be a bumpy ride.
give bosox credit. they hit with, where the pitch is. no long ball.
their pitching, starters/pen are real good.
kimbrel sends a bus to logan to make sure the yankees arrive in fenway.

score board watching in august
red sox & angels lost. twinkies split.
miller of cleveland "hurt"
eclipse watching - over rated
bracketology - huh - not all schedules in. first day of college to see who shows up - not yet
pre season ncaa football - #6 penn st. not in top 25 - notre dame.

bravo tanaka - 90 pitches off the dl
bravo lineup - although against a below average starter & bullpen.
maybe sanchez can carry this team
glad all rise ended that k streak. hope hicks is back to being the early season hitter.
*Yankees rightfielder Aaron Judge snapped his strikeout streak at 37 consecutive games, going 1-for-1 with 3 walks in a win over the Tigers. Judge and Bill Stoneman (a pitcher for the 1971-72 Expos) share the mark for longest such streak all-time, Judge still remains on pace to crush Curtis Granderson's franchise record for strikeouts in a season.
*The Yankees beat the Tigers, 13-4, as Gary Sanchez put on a show. He hit a 493-foot two-run homer in the first and added an opposite field two-run shot in the ninth. Masahiro Tanaka, off the DL, pitched seven innings of three-run ball.

Does Sanchez qualify for Rookie of the Year?

bravo sevy - comeback pitcher of year -
sevy & the lineup give the yanks "big 3" bull penners another days rest
al 2016 roy pitches for tigers today
lineup again feasts on below average tiger hurlers
kraken again is carrying the team on his back. his nickname could be mr august - 2016/2017
toe with 4 base knocks - i still miss all starlin
would love to see sir didi do well in mvp voting
*The Yankees crushed the Tigers, 10-2. Luis Severino allowed just a run in 6 2/3 innings. Gary Sanchez hit another homer and drove in three. Aaron Judge had two hits, including an RBI double. Ronald Torreyes had four hits. Yankees will try to complete the sweep Thursday afternoon.

Brawl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

F CABRERA that punk bitch, he got the better of Romine, I wish Sanchez was behind the plate.
BTW you Sanchez come into the scrum and nail some Tiger, why not, he was hit by a pitch too but why no warner? Kanle hits Cabrera then Kahnle gets thrown out but there was never warning.

sanchez carrying the yanks with his bat & fists.
umps blew this situation. bad blood from earlier this year.

now betances thrown out for hitting tiger in helmet.

brawl III - hit batter 5.

I'm stuck at work through all of this, but Yankees Encore will be appointment viewing for me tonight.

Sounds like we're going to lose some key guys to suspension in the heat of a pennant race. The Tigers, OTOH, had nothing to lose by doing what they did.

Glad we retaliated. About time. Sick and tired of our guys getting hit with no payback.

Detroit at 20 games under .500 can afford suspensions, they Yankees fighting for a playoff spot cannot. The heck they doin?
