Big East Tournament

Best path IMO is the one before the Xavier game.

#6 St John's VS #3 Providence

Then play

#2 Butler (w/o Chrabascz)

this is a probable scenario because from the remaining schedule we will probably finish 8-10 in the league & 18-12 overall.

if we make it to the finals and lose we would then be in the NCAAs with an RPI in the mid-30s.

i agree this would be the best place to finish if the team wants to make a run (or if they win out they can probably finish 3rd) and be in the same bracket but the matchup would be Xavier and Butler

Would fear G-TOWN... Cannot beat PROVIDENCE 3X.....Would prefer the VILLANOVA ,bracket..They lost to SHU last yr....Someone will knock them off this yr,might as well be SJ..

Latest update on bracket. Could change with a win tonight. I'd love to play butler in a 4-5. I really would, we will play much better at the garden, hopefully will have CO for the whole game, and also they lost a starter and he will be out until the NCAA tournament.

Let's sign that deal now. Chances would be good for winning BET.

So we're likely to get a 4 or 5 seed and play the 2:30 PM game on Thursday? Need to plan ahead

Im pumped that a friend of mine who I do biz with got tix for the afternoon session so now I can go home early and watch the night on tv

Looks like if there are no upsets Butler will finish 12-6 , Prov and Gtown both 11-7, and STJ 10-8. Prov beat Gtown twice, so its looks like STJ vs Gtown in the 4/5 game if i'm looking at this correctly.

Providence looks pretty good for the 2 seed, just needs to win @SHU and vs. Butler. I think our best "realistic" scenario is Butler going 0-2 this week, and having PC get the 2 seed, Gtown the 3, and Butler the 4

I just want to be on the opposite side of the bracket as Nova.
Butler without AC would be my first choice for our first game, but we should be the favorites--and should beat--G'town, PC, or Butler at MSG.

Feel at this point we should be ready for ANY ONE IN OUR CONTFR

Who we play should not matter Pedal to the metal

This is what I'm thinking too

Don't disagree with this. I think we'll be the favorites against anyone but Nova. That is why I'd like to hold off on Nova until the title game. But with these group of six plus SH, there is no guarantee that even Nova will advance.

Prov. 10-6 SH & Butler remaining
SJU 9-7 Marq. & Nova remaining
We own tiebreaker.

Could move up to 4th if we end in tie.

Based on current standings and the games on Saturday I would put my money on playing Butler next Thursday.

3 games-3 days no off days in the BET. Tougher than NCAA.

One of my favorite non SJU BE players, who was not a stud recruit, but developed into a stud. Likely not an NBA player, but who cares.

@CDiSano44: Tip of the cap to PC's LaDontae Henton on milestone: 2,000 points, 1,000 boards. Consistency. Production. Competitiveness. A great player.
