(BET) #4 Seton Hall, Thur., Mar. 14. 2:30p, FS-1

Not gonna happen! No way we loose. Like I just said to the text group, I haven't felt this strongly about an SJU victory since the 84-85 season,....when we faced Niagra.
Confused James Franco GIF

me looking up the results of SJU-Niagara 1984 😂 😂

That loss to Niagara still stings. Ruined a Saturday night of drinking
What were the Honest thoughts after that loss...? Sitting at 5-1 (with 2 wins by 1 point over the Bonnies and Fordham at Home)... did you guys think you had a top team in the Nation/Final 4 squad?

i was starting to worry

We have Pitino. We have 6 seniors, 4 of them hungry to make their first NCAA Tournament. One of them was a rotation player for the national champs last year. We have more talent than them. They've embarrassed us twice already.

Either we've turned the corner and win a big one and make Friday of the BET for the first time since before any of our current players were born or we're same old St John's
Agreed 100% Mug!!!

Only reason I'd say this game is very different than prior years is that this is not the peak of a four year cycle with players like Lavin or Mullin. Instead, it's literally just the beginning with Pitino.
I understand dk, but games like this are literally the reason why Pitino was brought in here to win. As MugConstanza said, we have 6 Seniors who want to play in an NCAA Tournament game and we have already been embarrassed by this team twice. If Pitino can’t come up with something and this team can’t find the gumption and the pride to step up and not get beat a third time then it’s same old St. John’s.

With all due respect to you and others selling this “theory”, Pitino was brought in to rebuild a decades long moribund program, it is utterly silly to draw any conclusion based on one game in his first year.

I'm someone that will say the season's a failure on the court if they don't make the tournament, so in a small picture sense I don't disagree.

But in a big picture context, this season is already a massive win with all the developments going around off of it. Our attendance thread here hasn't been touched in a month because of how much juice is back, our NIL is top notch and competitive against 99% of teams in the country, and we have 4* kids returning next year & coming in our next HS class. The team next year will definitively not be a bubble team.

There's no reason to think this is same old St. John's -- we are back.

Dingle and Ledlum are excellent Representatives of the University . Ledlum is taking International Business Courses. Not sure shoot Dingle .

Like Louie once said after losing to Princeton in a NCAA game , “ they have guys playing for them who can be President one day. .”
