Williams 0 turnovers 0 fouls.

Marvin Clark came into game shooting 29%. Shot 8 threes and only had 3 rebounds.
Needs to get his but closer to rim!
5-0 so that is good and like I have said playing these close games now will help us down the road.
My thoughts exactly! We need this guy to get his arse under the basket and rebound! I am sick of seeing him chuck up the ball from the cheap seats! He played horribly today!
Problem is it appears those shots are encouraged, even Simon's horrendous 3 point try from the corner, that looked like a field goal attempt that went wide right
Laces out Dan

Figgy and Heron need to be incorporated into the offense more. Figgy is getting frustrated and Heron is off because he’s not getting enough touches and not being incorporated into the flow of the offense enough. Ponds won these last two games for us but these games should have never have been as close as they were. Ponds needs to stop hogging the ball and distribute more. We will be a better and stronger team for it. The defense is still putrid and Roberts and Williams need minutes for precisely what happened tonight, guys fouling out and then the game is in overtime and the guy we have to bring in has hardly played. I will take 5-0 of course but this team is very far from what they can and are supposed to be.

Another OT and Jay Camus would have been in the running

He unfortunately is who he is. I've posted before that he wasn't even a big rebounder in high school. I was hoping for him to average 7 rpg, but he really may not have it in him. I would consider making him the sixth man if I were coach, but then I'd hopefully realize that we have no other real options but him.

Sports alert for Mullin. We can't play just 7 players every game.
Clark has to know when to stop taking his three point shot.
Don't remember Heron taking any jumpers
Thought our team was blah, especially in the first half.
Don't like Ponds dribbling the ball at the top of the key while everyone stands around. I want more crisp passing.
It's called team ball.
I still want to see Williams and Roberts. If we gave them a scholarship then let them at least earn some playing time Must have thought they were good enough to be a part of this team..Does that mean Caraher, Wright and Mack sit for a season? It's a long season, cmon Chris.
Last guy I want taking a three at the end of the game is Simon.
Fiqueroa doesn't take enough shots. Plays and shoots with confidence.
On a side note, Duke beat Auburn, 78-72. Duke only shot 25 more free throws than Auburn.
That seems fair. No worries!

When Keita comes back that would be something to think about

Had a front row seat courtside which was a great experience. Everyone looked gassed in the waning minutes including Shamorie yet he put the entire team on his back once again.

Heron looked like a deer in headlights from the tip which is sad considering his talent level. Hoping the next few games we can see some more contributions!

People really need to stop complaining about Ponds. He is like Winston Wolf from Pulp Fiction. When all hell breaks loose he cleans up messes.
I thought we played a little selfishly tonight. Guys were not making the extra pass and trying to do it all alone. Ponds included. I know he's our guy down the stretch but throughout the game he needs better shot selection. A lot of guys were forcing the issue tonight and that doesn't make me feel very confident long term.
Not what i saw, Ponds the only guy that played selfish. Again can't say much because he won us the game. He is one of those guys who makes a good play and then a bad one right after, until crunch time of course. Much rather play like we did against Rutgers than these last two games. Notice when its the Ponds show we struggle. Hopefully it doesnt affect our team chemistry, obviously if we win it wont, but if we lose it could.

Glad we won. But, the game was the Ponds show. This was the antithesis of the Rutgers game where we moved the ball well and got everyone involved, which is a better formula for success, I don’t know what happened to Heron today. I’ll take the W. Some patsies coming up, so hopefully we can give our bench players some time. Really need Keita to make a full recovery by BE time. Also agree that LJ should have been given the ball more. Dan , didn’t see your post. We simultaneously said the same thing.

We actually could and also have a great season doing it. But we'd also lose our second game of the tournament.

Glory Days!

Marvin Clark needs to realize that with Keita out, he is NOT the Shootimg Guard on this team .. Figuroa should get more 3 point in attempts than Clark and Mullin has to instill that into his players .,Heron and Figgy were kind of frozen out of the Offense for much of the game . Mustapha clearly looked frustrated that he didn’t get more Foul Calls on his drives to hoop . Refs were terrible , including on the last play . Ponds had big game but, if he is suppose to work on Playmaking , he should get the Ball to Heron and Figgy more , less to Clark. Dixon played well . Deserves more minutes .

Glad we escaped with a win. I hope we can learn and profit from this.
Note to Coach Mullin: Practice Defense, especially from the 3.

I was at MSG where the Knicks lost to Portland in a close one. My first knock game in many years (freebies with friends). We warched the last 44 seconds of OT on the phone thanks to the ESPN App. Shamorie came up huge!!!!

I DVRd it so I will watch it when I get home (I don’t go back to work until the 26th).
