(Baha Mar Hoops) #13 Baylor, Thu., Nov. 21, 7p, CBSSN

My take is there is losing and there is losing, you get beat, fine it happens and I have acknowledged such many times. But when it is other than that I point it out and that play Pitino called out of bounds IMO was ridiculous and what set me off. IMO, 49:54 minutes into a stressful game screams to apply the KISS thought process. You have by far the quickest player on the court in Smith and Scott who certainly has shown is unafraid of the moment. Run something simple to get both as an option on a relatively open court, not what he ran, which I only would have expected lt of a rookie coach.
All can dissgree.
I agree 100%. I would also add as a third option to your scenario, if necessary, I would rather have Luis on the foul line than Zuby.

I wish you were one of my professors at St.John's wrt grading my exams. I respectfully disagree with your grades for Wilcher and Pitino. Wilcher had a lousy game. In 27 minutes, he only had 6 points (the only starter not in double figures), 1 assist, no rebounds, 4 turnovers and 4 personal fouls. At the end, Pitino had the wrong players in the game at the wrong time. He should have had all ball handlers in the game and players with a reasonable chance of making at least one foul shot. Finally, he let the Baylor coach take control and outsmart him at key times during the game.

In my opinion, Both Wilcher and Pitino don't deserve grades higher than a C-.
I have to agree with you regarding Wilcher. Yes he has confidence in his shot but what else does he bring to the table? In the only two games that featured legit competition he was mostly a no show. In the New Mexico game Pitino clearly had no faith in him as he hardly got in and when he was in was weak with the ball and was not up for the physicality of the contest. In yesterdays game, other then a late three, what else were his contributions? I think that everyone was expecting a lot more from him based on Pitino’s touting of his progress but so far I’ve not seen much.

Wait, if it was reviewable? Why was it not reviewed? Is it the staffs job to ask for a review? And if so why wasn’t it? When I first saw the play the first thought that came to me was how if the rebound was tipped did they advance the ball so far down the court to take a good shot?

I hope this was not a blunder by the staff.

I think that's an officials error, they are usually looking at clock to make sure it starts correctly. It happens alot with the shot clock but in this case shot clock is off. those guys didnt know a football from a basketball though so no way they catch that.

Thought nothing ever would, but this game ending takes the prize for me as most heartbreaking game I've attended

The Seton Hall Screwjob right in 2018 right after Christmas was the worst before. We were 12-0 at time but not ranked as our best wins were VCU & Ga. Tech. It went downhill after that.
