(Baha Mar Hoops) #13 Baylor, Thu., Nov. 21, 7p, CBSSN

So did Baylor. They choked several times too. Missed free throws galore just like us.

Regardless of who “deserved” to lose, by rule the clock starts when the ball is touched. If that rule is followed by the clock operator it becomes a much more difficult shot attempt for Baylor. It is ridiculous that they botched that. This is a high level Divison 1 basketball game. Like give me a break
And how many times during the first 39:56 did that happen? The timer hit it a bit early, a bit late? PART OF THE GAME. That’s why it is absurd that the refs spend 5 minutes to put .3 seconds back on the clock at the end of halves and games when there is no way the time is EVER dead nuts accurate.
At the end of the day, just another mind numbing “what a great win this would have been” loss that should not have been. And hopefully I am way wrong but it has that “man, we are going to regret this one at the end of the season” feel to it.

Nah, this one was way more egregious than a usual clock error and simply cannot happen. Ball was getting tapped around and the clock doesn’t start until Baylor gets full possession and Omier takes one full dribble forward. It’s ridiculous.

It’s a terrible loss regardless that we inflicted by shooting ourselves in the foot countless times… but that’s still a ridiculous error on the clock. And it’s not just salty St. John’s fans who feel that way. A lot of people talking about it

It may have been egregious, I can’t disagree because I didn’t and won’t look at it because it just doesn’t matter to me; maybe there were other egregious times during the game it happened that affected the game, no one knows. I just refuse to look at one isolated action at the end of a game, an action that occurs hundreds of times during the game and cite that as a reason for the outcome. Just my view, I realize most disagree.

Like I said you can chalk the loss up to countless things we did wrong. But when a team has 4.1 seconds to get a shot off. And they get gifted extra time because the rules weren’t followed by the clock operator, it is extremely frustrating and no one will be able to convince me otherwise

Yep. You can slow twitter videos down to 0.25x speed and see it that way. There's no milliseconds on Twitter videos but Luis touched the ball at the 0:02 mark and the clock started at 0:04 so the clock started somewhere between 1 and 2 seconds too late
And that is not reviewable?
Then nothing should be reviewable.
