Quite easily both the best and saddest St. John's game I've ever gone to.

St. John's fans deserve huge props for showing up big time.

At end of the day, no such thing as moral victories. We saw last year that coming close to winning doesn't mean squat, and doesn't mean we learn from it. This should've been a win.

Onto the next one.

3 offensive rebounds, team leading 4 turnovers, 6-12 from the line. An all around poor 2nd half + overtimes.
What? 3 offensive rebounds was second most of any player in the game (highest was 4)? He had 10 which was tied for most in the game and also had 5 blocks and 22 points. Yes he was 6-12 from the line but that was his only bad stat and was pretty much in line with the rest of our team which was 57%. Objectivity reigns here I see.

Maybe the school should just hire you.....since you clearly know more than our coach!

You should start a gofundme to begin the buyout process!
I certainly know the game and not shy about expressing my opinion, obviously you have none, just hero worship.

Dunlap or Lefty has to be in the game. I don’t care how cold they are. On top of the FT shooting, Zuby has suspect hands and no ability to dribble or pass out of danger.

Brutal loss. Gut wrenching. We needed that more than any program in the country.
Yep. Zuby either needs to not be in the game there or just run a go route straight to the rim. Doing anything else is pointless for the reasons you mentioned plus if he's not clearing out he's just clogging everything else up

Once upon a time, there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years.

One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. “Such bad luck,” they said sympathetically, “you must be so sad.”

“We’ll see,” the farmer replied.

The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it two other wild horses.

“How wonderful,” the neighbors exclaimed! “Not only did your horse return, but you received two more. What great fortune you have!”

“We’ll see,” answered the farmer.

The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. “Now your son cannot help you with your farming,” they said. “What terrible luck you have!”

“We’ll see,” replied the old farmer.

The following week, military officials came to the village to conscript young men into the army. Seeing that the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out. “Such great news. You must be so happy!”

The man smiled to himself and said once again.

“We’ll see,
The farmer is in for a tough week based on that pattern.

He was a defensive liability the entire game. Watch it again. Norchad Omier scored at will.

Overreaction. But we need to go 2-1 on the trip. Unfortunately, I don't feel good about tomorrow based on the emotional loss of today's game.
Dink, maybe you’re right but I will tell you this, we can’t afford another out of conference loss with games we have left. If we lose tomorrow, which is a good possibility because this game just took too much out of them, we then have to finish top 3 in the Big East to make the Tournament. You see what happened last year. Also, the committee will not do the Big East or St. John’s any favors. Pitino is not their favorite guy anyway.we all know that.
