I think the comment would be way more apropos if the Johnnie’s were home, playing on campus, the defending national champions, ranked 9th in the country (LSU), and playing a conference rival that is undefeated and ranked #1 (SC).LSU v South Carolina women's game last night was sold out. SJU fans should take a lesson from the LSU/South Carolina fans.
You should have been a prosecuting attyI don’t understand. First, you cannot fathom why a New York kid would play in the south, but now you are imploring SJU fans to take note of attendance in the same south you lament.
Hey, maybe you unintentionally answered your own question. The crazy fandom is a big reason why a kid from up here wants to play down there.
Ha! Thanks, but my level of intellect makes me far better suited to tell lawyer jokes, than to actually be one.You should have been a prosecuting atty
One has nothing to do with the other. I don't understand a NYC player wanting to play at certain southern schools (Alabama, Baylor). That has nothing to do with criticizing the lack of attendance by SJU fans. I never criticize the attendance at college basketball games at any southern school.I don’t understand. In the future, I'll have you review my opinions before I post them because I don't want to upset you too much. Pretty clear you don't want to see the opinions of people who don't agree with your beliefs.
Gee thanks Paultz. That is the nicest thing anyone has said to me in 22 years.Kranmars may fairest guy on here & great sense of humor.
Dude. Relax. I never said anything like that. You can make as many posts with varying degrees of opinions as you wish. But with that, anyone can come back with a counterpoint. If not, then it looks like your feelings were a bit hurt. One has nothing to do with the other. I don't understand a NYC player wanting to play at certain southern schools (Alabama, Baylor). We need to show up and be loud period. They will have been drinking since 7amIt's going to be a big UCONN crowd for certain. SJU is countering that by promoting FREE tickets for ALL SJU students until 1/31 to be ordered online and picked up at school. Could be a sellout. Tickets selling in 400s mostly to uconn fans.
Your last line ruined my joke. Was gonna say I didn’t know you were only 22 years old.Gee thanks Paultz. That is the nicest thing anyone has said to me in 22 years.
Purely by coincidence of course, that is how long I have been married.
Should have offered UCONN all the “500s“they could useIt's going to be a big UCONN crowd for certain. SJU is countering that by promoting FREE tickets for ALL SJU students until 1/31 to be ordered online and picked up at school. Could be a sellout. Tickets selling in 400s mostly to uconn fans.

I'll say this very confidently. If we were either the team that won two championships in six years (South Carolina) or the team that won one national championship the year before (LSU), we would sell every game out at MSG -- including Fordham.

Marriage jokes are tricky. They ease the tension, or can go in the completely opposite direction and create tension.A Joke to ease the tension?
Good, let them stay in the 400s. I'm in the 200s, bringing my bro with me.It's going to be a big UCONN crowd for certain. Our marriage to St. John’s basketball has been a joke for too long. Pitino doing his best to change that!Marriage jokes are tricky. They ease the tension, or can go in the completely opposite direction and create tension.
Many others have made this point already but do you not see how ridiculous it is to compare St. John’s attendance to the attendance of two schools that have won recent national championships in the past 2-3 years? That has nothing to do with criticizing the lack of attendance by SJU fans.
Already there is a bump. I can tell by who is showing up for games and pregames, such as the deans of all the colleges, lots if faculty and admin, lots of younger fans <60 who didn't come out in numbers before. Many others have made this point already but do you not see how ridiculous it is to compare St. John’s attendance to the attendance of two schools that have won recent national championships in the past 2-3 years?
As Dk said I’d love to see attendance at MSG if we won the title last year. Then maybe your comparison would be in good faith.
People like to go see winners. We’re building towards being known as winners, but year 1 of pitino is about setting the foundation for that
