Watkins has put in decades of work and I think is going to pass the torch to TJ Cleveland. Just my guess. I think a younger assistant staff is good for us. Seems all being mentioned have the qualifications.

Unpaid assistant for sju a few years back. Coaching in NBA g league currently.

Agree Beast. IF Andy Borman is to be added later, that leaves 1 more AC spot. He’d be good as the ‘big’ coach. Do you think Zendon can recruit locally?

agree with Rasheed Davis as ankthenrgood option. There are plenty. Not worried about it honestly.

He could definitely recruit the crap out of Averill Boulevard Park[/quote]

Ha ha, I played with him a few times there. He was only allowed to be a guard in those games.

I wondered now many besides Beast would know this was one of his parks.

Another factor that in his favor is his eye for suits. He was one of our best dressed coaches. You can't discount dressing the part as we realized these past couple of disappointing regimes.

I'll ask Joe Jagde. Claims that Zendon always picked him for his team and gave him the green light all the time.
 
Zendon was always a nice guy. Never sharpest tool in the wood shed, and I know that back to his HS days. I think we can do plenty better and not denigrating in any way. Just think we need some real heavyweights on staff.
 
I think we're all fairly confident that Anderson knows how to put together the right staff. In addition to his 17 years running teams he put in his time as an assistant.
 
Never seemed to develop our bigs when he coached here. Like him, but I also think we can do better, but , like the idea of a big man coach.

Or Rath Park, I'm a Franklin Square/Carey guy, watched Zendon in high school and went to school with Derek Brown.OLV im guessing your from Floral park?

If so, is TJ, or anyone else out recruiting for StJohn’s ?
