Assistant Coaches

@NYPost_Brazille: Chris Mullin also said he plans to hire an assistant coach before live july recruiting period. Said there are a few options. #sjubb

Ed Pinckney has been retained by the Bulls as Hoiberg is keeping the current coaching staff relatively intact.

Where does it say that?

The newly-named Bulls coach admittedly still had unfinished goodbyes to wrap up in Ames, Iowa, had film to watch on all 82 regular-season Bulls games and then 12 playoff games from this past year, draft prep, keeping the current Bulls coaching staff relatively intact, reaching out to the players on his new roster...........

and from the Bulls website....

Basketball Operations
General Manager – Gar Forman
Head Coach – Fred Hoiberg
Assistant Coaches – Adrian Griffin, Ed Pinckney, Mike Wilhelm

In the article I'm seeing, that paragraph is preceded by "It is no small to-do list for Fred Hoiberg." Meaning, he hasn't done it yet. And the assistants are still under contract, so would still be listed until relieved of their duties or resigning their posts.

Hoiberg could be the first head basketball coach to lose two assistants to SJU within a few month period of time. If Pinckney departs for SJU, maybe Hoiberg could become coach of Kentucky and we could get a few transfer players

We should have picked the lobster as a mascot ( cooked red of course) Now that would have been cool and progressive - as Chris is doing with the team!
:silly:

Crazy to think, but with a 3-man staff many of us believe we are destined to reach unprecedented heights in the next 2-3 years. Imagine where our expectations may go with a full staff...

That's what she said! :)

Fred Hoiberg hired an associate head coach yesterday. Will that open the door for Ed to leave and come here?

Coach said the staff would be complete for July recruitment. Any further update?

Are you hearing the same couple names over and over again, or have new candidates sprung up that you are surprised to hear mentioned?
