Assistant Coaches Arrested /Book Richardson is One

All head coaches will deny having any knowledge of the bribes. However, with federal charges on the table, we could easily see an assistant role over.

Going to get interesting.......

Doubt many assistants will flip unless they have a change of heart. I'm sure school will indemnify or pay for their legal fees so long as they cooperate and play ball. But who knows.

Oh yes they will. Feds specialty is turning guys. These guys won't want orange jump suits for Christmas.

Sources: Basketball agency ASM Sports was raided today. FBI had warrant, took Andy Miller's computer.

Guess who he is the agent of - whitehead , McCullough, rakeem Christmas , nerlens Noel , and George Teague

Here's an article about Miami's involvement with Nassir Little
Unreal !!!!

Thanks MR.
So Arizona a Nike School and Miami an Adidas school matching $150,000.00 offers to land 5 star Little.
Well we know it's not just Adidas. Hello Nike AND others. Hello Arizona, Louisville, So Cal, Ok State AND others. There is no way a
lid can be kept on this. It's spreading wide and far. And people will talk to reduce their jail time and criminal records.
Puts a different perspective on 4 & 5 star kids who spurned SJU.
Good for us that apparently we were not participants in this type of recruiting process.

Mr. Little better hope he does not lose his NCAA eligibility.

I have forever disliked the NCAA which has seemingly turned a deaf ear to the "pay for play" auction of athletes. Hopefully the Feds force the NCAA to do the investigatory and enforcement jobs it is suppose to do.

Growing up in Flatbush and seeing "Rodney", from the Vanderveer apartments, hustling Fly Williams and any other decently talented kid who played at Foster Park, taught me, 40 years ago, that this whole racket was dirtier than hell.

In Flatbush there was always known "street agents" and the rumor was that Syracuse was plugged into these guys, "steering" the player to the school. I don't think they were doing so for "free"?

Now, the scheme got more sophisticated and expensive, and moved on to other places. Let's see where this leads; it's not going to be pretty.

This is the tip of the iceberg right? The AZ ass. coach (different role at Louisville) faces up to 60 years in prison. So you are one of these guys and we could see more than just the four named so far and you get fines and/or jail time in addition to being fired and forever losing any future in your chosen profession which you've already worked very hard and achieved a high level - one step short of head coach at a Div I school. Next step class action lawsuit against the NCAA for creating and fostering an environment where as an assistant coach you feel pressured to break the law because the most successful programs do so (UNC, Louisville, UCLA, AZ, Syracuse, Yukon etc), earn huge bucks and the NCAA turns a blind eye and when faced with public evidence that forces them to act, these actors get little to no repercussions from the NCAA other than the initial flash, extended delays, token penalties and later reductions of token penalties. So how do you compete otherwise?

You really didn't give us enough time to guess. No fair.

It was regarding Ponds. He posted something about giving up on Saturday on Instagram. He later deleted his account. Most likely it's nothing, but seems unusual because these kids spend all day, every day on IG. Even more concerning that the aforementioned post was deleted.

I addressed Slick being too slick on social media with bling and wheels, etc. Someone got the message.

That's not the only web account that's gone missing.

They could lose their 'amateur / student' status which--unless they're lottery picks--may place 'stay away' alerts by their name.

I'd feel differently about this if it broke during the Norm years.

But based on the last two recruiting cycles I guess we're safe.

Couldn't be happier to see these schools (and hope for more) to get exposed. Arizona, in particular, seems to jump in on a recruit at last minute and win easy. Don't believe for a moment that the head coach was not aware.

Yeah... we're probably safe because any potential slush fund worth investigating is already heavily protected at the Bank of Slice. Maybe the Slice fiasco is a blessing in disguise.
