Assistant Coaches Arrested /Book Richardson is One

Played against his teams. His best team had Red Bruin and the Fleming brothers

Vern Fleming went to Mater Christi and then Georgia (beat us in the 83

(NCAA Tourny). Was Chris' teammate on the Gold Medal winning 1984 Men's Olympic Team. His twin brother Vic played high school ball for LIC and then went on to play college ball at Xavier.

Phil Smith (New Mexico) was on that team with Bruin and Fleming.

Not sure of the name, but was ( FNU) Johnson on that Mater Christi Team. I think he picked Marquette over SJU. They beat Holy Cross, in overtime, for the CHSAA title.

No, he was a f years later. HC had Glenn McMillan and Derek Scott.

I saw that Mater Christi team play at Molloy. Tony Red Bruin was a great HS player. I don't remember who won but I remember it being very close. It was so crowded at Molloy with people set up with chairs on the stage.

Also saw MC play Tolentine. Tolentine had two big kids and they tried to double Bruin. I think Bruin had a pretty good game. Unfortunately for SJU he went to Cuse. He was a great HS player. If he was a little taller he would have had a better college career and been a pro. I think he was like 6 feet 5. He was killing HS guys in the post.

We got David Russell who had a better college career without the "headaches".

Alabama has initiated an internal review of its men's basketball operations, per release. Administrator Kobie Baker has resigned.

Probably involves recruiting that Sexton kid I assume

Football team has to be next, and just when I jumped on their bandwagon(thanks to my daughter). Its the college sports Gods continuing to mess with me.

One guy on espn radio that comes on the air at midnight said that if they probed coll football, it would make the oj simpson 30-30 look like a sitcom

Before running up a $42K uber bill on one of his NBA client's credit cards, I swear you can't make this stuff up.

I'm not sure how you can run up an UBER tab like that. Are you driving cross country? Or are you driving local 24/7 open tab for all? And who was the player that didn't know? Damn, I wish I had that much money not to care about my finances.

maybe laundering money through the same driver who happens to be a friend, cousin whatever and not actually doing the trips just sharing the cash.

ESPN says Louisville should hire a Chris Mack. Always looking to protect its ACC investment.

Why would anybody want to work at Louisville right now? Honestly, best thing they could do is hire an interim coach for a year til some of this dies down. Mack, Crean etc? In an environment where they can't pay players any more? Gtfo

Have no fear Monte, football players don't wear sneakers.

Chris Mack was extended today thru '22-'23 season

Crean's name is being thrown out a lot, but I don't think he or any other big name does it with an interim tag. But I doubt they want the job on a real basis either without knowing the full extent of the penalties. So I think we're looking at a Dino Gaudio situation here.

And if that's the case, I'd honestly try to hire a Bob Hurley for the job for a year or two. At least you know he wouldn't put up with any shit. Would he move to Louisville for a few years? Maybe not. But if Seton Hall gets caught up in a mess . . .

Pitino did try to convince us once that Norm was a great coach.

I CAN think of 7,500,000 reasons per year that coaches would flock to Louisville. Coach Pitino is the highest paid NCAA bball coach it was reported yesterday. The next coach may even be offered more considering the mess he will inherit. He will be paid a kings ransom and given sufficient time to turn things around. The way I see there are a handful of coaches who would decline the opportunity if offered.

Hire Norm!
Hire the TV Announcer,

Oh, that would be priceless. I can just imagine the quotes.....

"Like a staggered boxer, we're picking ourselves up and gathering our rich history. We are now building Louisville's next generation program.....like renovating the Roman Colosseum one block at a time. People need to keep in mind that we are the most recently paroled program in the country and currently enrolled in the school of hard knocks. But, for now, we're going to play an active style of basketball.....attacking baseline to baseline. I am confident our team will gel in February of 2022 just in time for my second contract"
