Big East is now 27-5 overall.....3 of the 5 losses to teams ranked in the top 25.....

The 3 newbies are 9-0 so far.......

The conference is off to a good start.....

The other 2 losses were DePaul to So Miss and S Hall to Mercer. No wins however against a ranked team yet. That will definitely change by Dec 15.

Oh definitley without a doubt...

I believe the Big East team who has the next chance to knockoff a ranked team will be G'town. That is based on them advancing in the Puerto Rico Tipoff (one of the two ranked teams would need to advance, as well). Of course, I'm not a fan of the Hoyas by any means, but stating I believe they are the next conference team set up to play a ranked opponent.

If they make it to the finals of the Puerto Rico Tipoff, then they'll likely face either VCU or Michigan.

Butler had a nice win at Hinkle against Vandy, a good SEC team.. Butler is like Bucknell, except much better.. Now, that we've seen a ball movement team like Bucknell, we shouldn't panic against Butler..

They will give us a tough game both, at CA and Hinkle.. The lefty kid, Marshall, is tricky around the hoop. Likely Dom will chase him on D.

I saw the Butler game. They are solid. I don't think they are a ton better than Bucknell though. The Butler game vs Vandy was a good one. Bucknell was a pretty good team, don't fool yourself there.

Butler game is at MSG...

My bad.. Thanks for correction. Mildly surprised Butler gets a MSG Event .. The Bulldogs are building a Gonzaga like Rep.. Now, as a BE conference Member, they have officially become a Major tier Program. It should be a good game.

Absolutely correct. Bucknell is well Coached with 2 standout players, Ayres and Caspar.. IMHO, Butler beats Bucknell 8 out of 10 games.Just a opinion.

I'm not surprised at all they got MSG. They entered the league with Brad Stevens at the helm and National Championship appearances year after year. How much more deserving of MSG can you be? I'm happy to see them in the league.

Fwiw Joe, Butler beat a Vandy team that isn't a "good SEC team". I believe they were picked 10th in the SEC this year. I think Bucknell would beat Butler this season most of the time. Bucknell is a lot better than they're getting credit for. Not just a 2- man team.

For those of you that watched some of the PC vs Vermont game last night, you saw that PC is a good team, with Kris Dunn back and running the point they are a very good team. The difference was pronounced with him in the game

They did look very good but I heard the transgressions of the freshmen were pretty disgusting.
Hope you can somehow get them back.

It's hard to say, there are a ton of rumors floating around, but I don't believe it is the worst of them that you and I may be hearing because there is no way they would still be practicing which they are.

Good point.

Kids made the trip to the Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam, so as I thought the transgression rumors were somewhat inaccurate. Man, 1st Dunn back and now this, finally some good news, for the Friars.

@BSnowScout: Georgetown should just no longer play in tournaments. It really isn't their thing

bad loss by Gtown.

Terrible loss.

They still have games remaining with Kansas and Michigan State. You can't sort of hide a loss like this. Brutal.

The Big East may be more balanced top-to-bottom when it's all said and done than what I initially thought it would be.
