Our game against St. Mary's was a part of it and had a super late tip. I think my buddy and I got home after 1:30 a.m., maybe 2.

I know they are not part the bigeast but gonzaga just demolished smu tonight. If st. john's were to play them, I don't see them winning. that pangos kid can flat out shoot.

This may be best Zags team in a while. Solid guards, some size & nice newcomers.(like 6'10 Domantas Sabonis, son of former Trailblazer) Agree that SJU would have extremely hard time with them.

Agree. Feel we need to play them. Not just because we need to beat Minny or because we are at a stage where we should be playing in the Finals of a tournament with a pretty blah field. But because we need an early season test against a team with that kind of size who plays with that type of discipline. Won't learn as much from Syracuse against the zone the way we shoot 3's. After that it's the Big East where there isn't any time for lesson-learning.

1-1 is the most likely outcome next weekend, and there is a huge difference between 1-1 Minny/Zaga and 1-1 Georgia/Minny for a number of reasons.

If I remember correctly, this was Lavin's first game as our head coach and it started at 2 am.

Not sure if that was a quote or your opinion but anyone who watched this weekend knows Smith is not in decent shape.

Agreed.
He looked like he always has. Easily winded and out of shape. Also a foul magnet.

Every team in the big east cruised to easy wins except Marquette who suffered a 74-63 loss to THE annoying ohio state buckeyes.

Creighton setting up for a big ending with Oklahoma in FS1. Up 1 with 9 minutes to go.
