Around the Big East

Watching the Seton Hall -Mercer game, SHU is up 35-24 at the half. Whitehead looks nervous, has 2 pts, Angel Delgado is an absolute beast on the glass.

Whitehead looks like a kid who played against lesser competition all through high school.

I always s thought the one and done assumptions were way too premature because he's too small physically to play SG at the next level.

LJ Peak at Georgetown on the other hand looks like he's more than capable of taking the conference ROY.

Seton Hall outside of Delgado is abysmal on the boards. They actually remind me of us how they're playing.

I've watched most of the conference games this weekend and the BE looks like a mid major and I never thought I'd say that.

I don't know what Val and Stu Jackson have planned but this conference needs a major influx of $$$ to attract high level kids.

The product on the floor has been terrible. Providence/Albany was tough to watch.

We're going to need a Big East school to win one of these invitational tourneys early on to generate some buzz like how Villanova did last year.

Let's not overreact. Teams all over the place look shaky. You watching this Kentucky team that ESPN has claimed will go undefeated? Yea trail Buffalo with 14 minutes to go. It's early season jitters.

Overreact to what?

The quality of basketball has been bad. I'm not talking about close wins. I'm talking about the product on the floor.

Yes, the product on the floor has been bad for "good teams" all around the country not just in the big east. It's close minded to say the big east look like a mid major conference because of their first games, when teams in the sec, ACC, and big 12 haven't looked that good themselves at times. teams everywhere look bad their first few games, no one is going to just snap into mid season form in early November. I'm not saying the big east is that good this year, I'm saying give it some time before you say the product of the floor is awful. Because It may not look good now as teams figure out everything, but can and will get better.

I'm talking about the level of players, but I digress.

Delgado with 12 rebounds will be fun to watch. Relentless on the boards.

What I wouldn't give to have him on the roster. He was also running up the court faster than some of their guards.

All you needed to give was Oliver Antigua an assistant's job ... and a temporary one at that.

Nooooo, St John's would never do that
We do the direct opposite
We hire Mo Hicks, who does nothing for us, and prevents us from getting Kadeem Jack

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebas...ces-all-mens-tourney-sites-for-2016-2017-2018

For 2016: Brooklyn and Des Moines, two spots that have never hosted NCAA Tournament games, will get their first opportunity. Other cities getting nods for the first weekend in 2016: Providence, St. Louis, Raleigh, Oklahoma City, Denver and Spokane. The regionals that year (Sweet 16 and Elite Eight) will be played in Philadelphia, Chicago, Louisville and Anaheim.

For 2017: Buffalo, Greensboro, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Orlando, Tulsa, Sacramento, Salt Lake City and Indianapolis get first-weekend duties. For the regionals, Kansas City, San Jose, Memphis and New York City (Madison Square Garden). I wrote previously how obvious a call this is. Put the thing in MSG as often as possible.
