Not as bad as feared;

@Eiser_XU_Sports: Jr. center Matt Stainbrook suffered a strain of the MCL in his left knee last night at Seton Hall; will miss Villanova 3/6, day-to-day after
 
Georgetown on fire in the first half. McDermott needs to step up his game.
 
Early, but Creighton certainly struggling, down 14 at the half. My sense is Creighton is vulnerable in NCAA Tourney. Teams seem to be figuring them out, except Nova. Lol
 
now the possibility of us ending up as the 7 seed in the BET becomes a stronger possibility.....we lose and Gtown beats Villanova, we're the 7.....

and syracuse just lost again!....at least they lost to Georgia Tech so our RPI shouldn't take a hit.....

Ga. Tech has an RPI of # 175.
That's a big hit.

Ugh. I assumed that since we played both that it wouldn't impact us much. Well, that sucks!

Lets beat Marquette so we don't have to worry about that.
 
I don't care if Providence beats Marquette either. If we beat Marquette, the worst we can finish is fifth and we will get to play Providence in the BET and then Villanova in the semifinals. Great games and a chance to earn our keep.

Georgetown would own the tiebreaker. Head to head we split. The next criteria is vs. the #1 team (Villanova or Creighton). Both schools split with Creighton but we were swept by Nova and Gtown would have a split with Nova.

Gardner hit a 75 footer with the game tied but it was right after the buzzer. Unbelievable.

Marquette was up by one: Mayo fouls Fortune on a trey (and 1).
Providence up by 3: Mayo fouled on a trey (misses). He hits all 3 FTs.
Tie game: Gardner rebounds Providence's missed basket and heaves it 3/4 of the court. Swish! Basket came about 1 1/2 seconds after the buzzer.

Watching Gardner play, I could see DeLarosa becoming a similar player with hard work.

Could be possible, if De La Rosa shows some grit and hustle. He is light on his feet ala Gardner.
