Xavier drops to 10-7 playing #6 Villanova next. Xavier could end the season at 10-8. If SJU beats Marquette we will end the season at 10-8.

This leaves the door open for SJU to take 3rd.

Wouldn't Xavier win a tie breaker with us, since they beat us twice?

Seton Hall can beat anyone and will be a very tough out. Interesting to note that Seton Hall played a zone defense against Xavier which was very effective in both games. Just curious why we didn't play zone against them.. Clearly if coaches watch film they may be able to see something on the films against Xavier if we play them in the BET.

Wait, I take that back. Xavier swept us, there is no way we can get 3rd. Still fighting for 4th.

Would like Marquette to win tonight bringing them to 10-7 and Providence to 9-8 with Creighton next. Then SJU beat Marquette on Sat. bringing Marquette and SJU with 10-8. SJU winning both games we would take 4th over Marquette.

Stainbrook went down with a knee injury in the first half. Probably doesn't affect the points made above, but sad to see.

Willard suspended two seniors for the second game against us (Teague and Oliver)
All 3 seniors (including Edwin) played very well tonight
The trio probably accounted for about 75% of their scoring
Despite their record, they are a dangerous team that should not be taken lightly

Even if they lost their next game to Villanova, and then the first game in the BET to say Marquette?

After last night's defeat, Xavier only dropped one spot in the RPI.

Think so, did decently v. 1-50 teams, including Cincy, in addition to that Creighton win. Stainbrook injury, however, is a wild card for sure.

If they lose the next two and are on the bubble and if Stainbrook is done does the committee drop them out as they're not the team that looked sure to qualify? Just wondering. That would suck for them. Obviously teams have dropped seeds due to late season injuries so it would seem that they could also drop out if they're close enough to the bubble.

Unbelievable, but this freshman Reynolds who was all world against SJU came up with 2 points and 3 rebounds against the Hall.
No wonder Dickie V used to call them Dow Jones'ers.
Makes you want to pull your hair out.
