Too bad we are Playing Creighton in Omaha on Tuesday. I would have loved to see us again vs Xavier. At home, of course.. Mousekeeteers have fallen in ratings and could finish 8-10, though not likely.
Really have to hand it to Cooley. Popular thought seemed to be they would be down this year given what they lost. 18-11, 8-8 and in ESPN's tourney field as of today.
20 wins and a trip to the NCAA 3 years in a row with a chance to make it 4 in a row on both counts. Obviously hope we beat them every time we play them, but it's great for the conference that Cooley has been able to get that program to this level and hope he keeps it there. Additionally, they hadn't been to the tournament in a decade when Cooley got them back there the first time, so a good model for what a quality rebuild looks like. 20 years and a tourney appearance in year 3 as HC, appears to continue to have them on a good plan in year 6 as HC.

Good Points all. Cooley has built a Resume at Providence. But, I think Mullin will too , for us. Nothing better than to beat them twice this year. And, then see the handshake post game on Saturday.
Cooley had Marshon Brooks, Chris Dunn. Plus, that little Guard a few yeas ago, who always played 40 Minutes. I forget his name. Somebody help me out .

I didn't know where to post it so I'll post it here. Yesterday was a 3 death day, Bill Paxton, Judge Wapner, and Mag the Mighty from Game of Thrones.
Was surprised to learn that Mag was played by none other than Neil Fingleton. He was a big time recruit out of the UK, purely based on his 7'7" height. Did Jarvis try to recruit him either as a HS player or a transfer out of UNC? I recall him being discussed on this board a lot.

Paxton had a new series on CBS I think which was based upon the Denzel Washington movie Training Day. Big Love was a great series and I always remembered him in Weird Science... Yes I remember Fingleton being discussed. Not sure how seriously he was pursued.

Paxson was killed by an Alien, Predator, and Terminator, making him a fan boy rock star with that stellar hat trick. Was also in the thoroughly awesome 80's flick, Streets of Fire.

Villanova is expected in this evening for 2019 Glens Falls guard Joseph Girard
Had 42 points with 9 3's and a handful of great passes in a sectional win last night. Has reached 2000 career points as a sophomore and is on pace to break the NYS HS scoring record before his senior year...There is no reason CM should not at least take a look.

Caught the last minute and a half or so of the game, just as Hoyas went up by three. Then, on their next three possessions they ineptly fumbled the ball into SH's hands on two of them, and on the third, theyended up taking an unmakable wild shot at the basket following a TO with 14 seconds to go. And in the interim, they failed to rebound a missed FT by Carrington, which resulted in a Hall basketl and a three-point Pirate lead. The incompetence was amazing.
