March Madness extends to February w/ first-ever in-season look at NCAA Tournament bracket, revealed Feb. 11 on CBS

I've always been in favor of something like this, because I believe teams should have an idea of their situation, and the college football playoff show does well every November.

However, revealing the top 16 teams really does nothing. Would rather see "Last Four Byes", "Last Four In", "First Four Out", and "Next Four Out" revealed, instead.

No way! Those are the most exciting parts. NCAA needs to keep people hanging on for those.

I disagree. It's not fun. It's the equivalent of a fighter not knowing what the score is between rounds. We all know he needs a KO, his corner guy's telling him no, and he pays the price for it.

Knowing exactly whose on the bubble would make the regular season (and conference tournament) games involving those teams even more exciting. They're pretty exciting now, but we don't truly know what's at stake, while we are watching them.

Actually, I'd like to see a complete "mock bracket" reveled, every Monday, before the ACC ESPN game. I've been pushing for that for a few years, now. You'd have to use the first place team in the small conferences for the automatic bids, and that can obviously change, and might even change seedings for some of the other teams, so it still would not be definitive, but would give everyone a better idea of where they stand.

This 'no idea' stuff you mention is what makes college basketball so great. The bracketologists do a good enough job giving everyone an idea.

I predict we will be a 60th seed

Unfortunately, like sinsemilla, St. John's will be seedless once again this year.

Nova sure can guard;

HALFTIME: #1 Villanova 39, Marquette 24. Nova outscores #mubb 29-20 with Hart nailed to the bench with 2 fouls.

They prove you don't have to be 6'11 to guard a 6"11 player.

Not Big East, but Pitt lost to Louisville tonight, 106-51. At home, no less. Kevin Stallings got tossed with about 14 minutes to go (rare that that happens to a coach at home). Things were already so out of hand at that point, that the Pitt fans only mustered mild boos when that happened (sometimes, when something like that happens to the home team, stuff gets thrown onto the court).

Marquette with a big second half run beats Nova 74-72

Villanova loses on the road tonight. Kansas loses on the road tonight. Kentucky is down 10 on the road tonight (lots of time left, though). Looks like the boys from Spokane will be #1 next week.

Creighton crushed by Georgetown. Team no longer the same without Watson

Creighton was 1 for 18 from three point line. Coming into the game they were 10th best three-point shooting team in the country. That's amazing.

Trevor Blueitt on fire tonight vs. Cincinnati

26 pts at the half and perfect from field and burying 3's.

X is shooting 66% from 3 (10-15) vs. season avg 33%

Hopefully this doesn't carry over to Sunday

Blueitt had 40 and they still lost 86-78. He was on fire (12 for 15 including 9 for 11 on threes) but the rest of the starters only chipped in 22. X do not seem to be a good road team, I think if we bring our A game, we win.

Cincinnati are beasts. I wouldn't read much into this loss as it relates to our game.

Not BE but Syracuse leading number 6 Florida State by 10 before the half. A Cuse win improves our RPI.

Up 18 at halftime.

Down to 4, with a lot of time left.

I know it helps us, but we're not getting an at-large bid, so the Cuse can't lose enough for my liking.

Also, Rutgers up 5 on Wisconsin at MSG, under 8 TO second half.

Syracuse upsets no.6 Florida State. When you play in a big time conference like the ACC it gives you big time opportunity for wins against ranked opponents. The Seminoles have lost two in a row on the road. Syracuse now 5-4 and right in the middle of the ACC.
The ACC is deeper than the Atlantic Ocean.
