Around the Big East

Great finish to that game. I don't know how the Illinois kid missed the put back dunk the last possession though. Friars got lucky with that one.

Friars got lucky but Georgetown pretty unlucky their games. I'd say a wash for Big East

Overall Big East doing solid. Probably not as good as last year which is understandable.

I agree they missed the original lay up(kid went right by Dunn) , then missed the put back dunk, then the last desperation shot. The Ill coach looked like he was going to faint on the court.

Creighton got crushed and Marquette also, plus the Hall lost. Not a good night other than the Johnny's

It's extremely early in the season, and Marquette could turn this thing around. But they've started off the season looking rather abysmal.

Kinda going off of what tom said, I think for the big east this year it's quality over quantity.

We won't get 6 or 7 teams in the tournament. We might get 4.

But those 4 all can go way deeper than our top teams last year.

Super early, but Butler looks like a team that could head into the BET with a crazy record -- like a 27-3/28-2 type season. They look great so far.

one down, four more in half an hour.
top teams looks better tan last year.
Butler, nova, G'town, X should spend the year in the top 20.

Glad we won but it wasn"t pretty. WE shot the ball poorly from the field and the line

Temple/Butler on ESPN2 in 30 minutes.

Lewis, transfer from NCState, will thrive at Butler learning from a great coach as opposed to Gottfried's helter skelter approach. Btw, he's another son of a respected coach, Rick Lewis, who is a Southern bball guru running some major summer events in North Carolina.

@aaronbeardap: AP: NC State transfer Tyler Lewis thriving w/No. 22 Butler at Puerto Rico Tipoff

Just watched G'town take it to Wisconsin.
Awfully good again.
Talk about a team overdue for a good March..................

Nice pieces. Govan will have an impact on GT this year.

I@CerasolisGhost: FINAL: Seton Hall beats Bradley 67-59. Desi Rodriguez led all scorers w/ career high 18. Isaiah Whitehead sat out entire 2H w/ injury #shbb

Whitehead likely out next game due to concussion issue.

Chris Mack of Xavier & Chris Holtmann of Butler are best coaches in BE by a fair margin IMO. Hopefully it is a "Chris" thing & is contagious.

Was at the game, it was terrible. Watched Wisconsin for the third time in my eyes they are way down
this year. Hayes has turned into a jump shooter seeing NBA $$ in his sights. Gtown has some nice pieces but can NEVER root for them to do well. JT3 will screw it up for them in MArch somehow.

I watched it at home, and basically felt the same way as you. Wisconsin reminded me of some of their teams from years past.... Seems to have trouble scoring, and not sure where those points will come from.

I don't root G'town, either.
