Come on Xavier win out (including H vs creighton) and give us 5 BE teams.
Memory not what it used to be but not sure Norm was knocking off a couple of ranked teams in the same year.Sounds like what every coach in the Big East was saying about Norm throughout his entire tenure
Back to back Notre damn and Syracuse with Avery Patterson 4 point play late comes to mind. Maybe they both weren’t rankedMemory not what it used to be but not sure Norm was knocking off a couple of ranked teams in the same year.
2005-06 Norm knocked off consecutive ranked teamsMemory not what it used to be but not sure Norm was knocking off a couple of ranked teams in the same year.

Great post Andrew. Pleasure to meet you as well. Hope to see you again!I wandered a basketball desert from the Pittsburgh scandal until the hiring of Lavin. I missed most of the Roberts years. It wasn't so much Norm Roberts or the results but the apathy of the school towards basketball. Also having small twins made it harder. I admire those that have memories of players like Avery Patterson and Larry Wright and those that became fans during that period.
I want to thank the school for hiring Steve Lavin. The period between Lavin and Anderson wasn't very successful but there were short lived periods of optimism. It also lead me to finding this board which I cant thank everyone enough for bringing me daily enjoyment. I have warm feelings towards every poster even those that may have hit the ignore button or never liked one of my posts
Thank you to the school for hiring Rick Pitino!
As for the game yesterday. It was great meeting up with Monte, Mike, Eric and ejoyce before the game. Seeing some of thee 114 crew as I was going towards my seat. I was too worn out to go back and see more of the crew after the game but ran into ejoyce again in Penn Station after the game.
My friend's kids were in the picture with Spike Lee that was posted and played at halftime and it was great seeing them as well.
I went to the game with my long time friend who grew up in West Virginia, went to Wake Forest and has a daughter at UNC. He is huge sports fan and was a very good basketball player. He has gone to several games with me over the years but just as something to do. He wanted to St. Johns to win but never showed a lot of excitement. He asked me a couple of weeks ago how good I thought St. Johns was this year and I said we will see. Yesterday he was cheering loudly all through the game and said he has never seen switching on defense as good as ours.
Even one of the annoying drunk UCONN fans in my section that did a full analysis during the game was worn out by the end and expressed to me how impressed he was by St. Johns and hopes they win the National Cahampionship. Probably won't feel that way when he wakes up this morning but in the moment he got it.
I have no analysis of the game because except for a few minutes it was a complete beatdown.
Waiting for the analytics guys to start discussing our ranking chances and the 1pm release of the AP.
Hoping we get the win against Butler so we can all celebrate our first milestone. First place in the Big East regular season. No sharing!

Didn't want to say that but... yeah that's a potential silver lining. Hope he makes a full recovery and can still be a top 20 pickI wonder if this keeps him at Georgetown for another season.

Reports are he (Braswell) suffered a heart attack last month.
