Around the Big East

Those were in very different eras from this one. The days of bringing in a class of freshmen and growing a program over 4 years are gone.

Look at Pitino at SJU, Kelsey at Louisville, Pope at Kentucky, May at Michigan, etc. That's the model now.
And, again, who are these building blocks at Villanova that Kyle Neptune as amassed that has shown he's building something?

Kyle Neptune certainly deserves another season IMHO, he replaced a legend, and to date he is not a legend. But neither was Jay Wright his first few seasons. This last week he has beaten 2 top 25 teams, if that is not showing improvement I don’t know what improvement is. He has not embarrassed the school in any way and continues to learn on the job. Let’s see how they finish this season.

Sounds like what every coach in the Big East was saying about Norm throughout his entire tenure

In the last week his team also got waxed by a mediocre Providence team and folded down the stretch against UConn

Not even close. This is his third year and record has improved every year. He will be back next year, book it.
I have some personal connections with people who work in marketing at Nova and the word is that he is done. No one’s excited about Neptune over there and it’s hurting their pockets/funding
