And Villanova will make it a 4-way at 4-1 when they beat DePaul at home tomorrow night.
That's also the first "return" matchup on the Big East schedule, so not having DePaul again will put the Wildcats at a big of a disadvantage the rest of the way.

At this stage, I think DePaul has to strive to become even a claimer. They should be declared glue.
Jones torn ACL, out for the season. That sucks. For them.Marquette about to lose at home and their backup PG blew a tire, looked bad.
Butler win is good for us.

Hinkle is always tough on opponents, even in years when Butler is not that great.Seton Hall opens as 4.5 point dogs at Butler, Saturday.
Me too.My name is mjmaherjr and it's a Friday night and I'm watching Depaul vs Nova. I'll admit it
Me three.Me too.
The problem with forcing DePaul out of the Big East is that Val would look like a complete fool if DePaul finally made a decent hire and they became even somewhat decent. Imagine the egg on the face of the league and the lost money if DePaul became good enough to make the tournament 2 times in 5 years, which is really not completely unfathomable.Market share and other variables aside, Ackerman really has to figure out a legal way to get DePaul out of BE. I think Gonzaga is not going to happen and if Xavier does not object let Dayton in. Their fans travel well, always have solid home attendance and compete well just about every year.
Dayton would be another good game fans of any BE program would enjoy v DePaul’s chronic ineptitude and embarrassment.

When the Big 10 added Rutgers they were nothing better than average in football and terrible at basketball. Since then their football has only become worse and their basketball program, once considered one of the toughest places to win in the entire country has 2 of the top 3 high school recruits committed to them for next season.
Obviously there are deep issues at DePaul but like everybody else they are one decent hire away from adding value to the league.
