I think he's done as well, and I also think they'll go after a higher profile coach than Holloway.
If he has that choice, he is so lucky he should just buy a powerball ticket. I doubt schools around the country are anywhere near as enamored with him as fans here, but we will see.
On top of piling on Autry, Syracuse fans are dismayed by the current inability of the program to attract NIL dollars. I wouldn't consider Holloway the poster boy for improving that situation. Honestly, I can't think of a stranger fit. Syracuse insiders also tell me that Melo really likes Autry and there is an expectation that next year when Kiyan gets there, he will make some significant NIL "donations." Most of those same insiders have shared names they are enamored with, I have never heard Holloway mentioned. Given how bad he is doing at Seton Hall I suspect with that choice they would prefer no change at all.
Villanova can raise money whoever the coach is, but that job will be coveted by coaches who have proven they can win at non-MAAC programs. But they hired Neptune, so there is that. I will give that a non-zero chance.
Maybe not a higher profile or flashy, but I think the Princeton coach would be a terrific fit at Nova.

I don’t see Holloway at Nova or Syracuse . And , why would Smart leave Marquette for the Cats ?
Seems like a lateral move , at best .he’s trying to build a foundation like Wright did but , doesn’t need to go to Nova to do that .,
I agree. I think Sha's stock has tanked a bit this year. This is his first year without Kadary (a guy Willard recruited there), and it's been a total disaster. Fair or not, a coach has responsibility for raising NIL and roster management.
Shaka is also from Wisconsin, grew up only a hour away from the school. They are also at the high-end of NIL. He tried the big state school thing and it wasn't a fit. He can easily be a lifer at Marquette.
