Around the Big East

A good college player, no baggage guy, but seems slow afoot and not sure he is NBA material. Then again, I did not think Julian would be.

I would hedge a bit on downplaying Carraban . He’s likely to drop 25 on us in one of our 2 games against the Huskies ..
It’s quite possible NBA scouts would disagree with the negatives on him .
UCCONN doesn’t have the talent it did last year and Diarra is not Newtown or Spencer .
Carraban plays well in a team concept with other players complimentary to his skills .
It isn’t there this year .

I am watching the LuHi vs LaLumiere (Indiana) basketball game on ESPNU. I have seen LuHi before, and both teams have loads of D1 talent (Seniors, Juniors and a Sophomore for LuHi) including Darius Adams (UConn) from LaLumiere but always come out impressed with Nigel James (Marquette) the less heralded of their four guards (Kiyan Anthony and the Mingo brothers). He plays cool and under control. Doesn’t get raddled. Just a Point Guard who gets it. Marquette has gotten a good one.

LuHi is up 59-38 with about 6 minutes to go in the game.

The opposition will need to wear shoulder pads and a rib jacket whilst playing Villanova and Eric Dixon. Dude continues to stiff arm and lower his shoulders through the A and B gaps.
Dixon blatantly discards Peavy leading to an assist. Unbelievable how much he gets away with. Never seen a guy get away with moving his pivot foot like he does.

Poplar just got ejected for throwing a punch against Gtown
