Around the Big East

Pumped Xavier won. They are on the low-end of the bubble. No bad losses in OOC but only one Q2 win in OOC (South Carolina). Don't be fooled by their conference record. They lost @Uconn, vs. Marq, vs. STJ, and @Georgetown. They beat Nova and now have their signature Q1 win. Their schedule is still brutal with @STJ, vs. UConn and @Creighton. But if they win one more game and go on a run in February, maybe they can make the tourney. Maybe

One part of me says, I'm happy the upsets are done for the day.
The other part of me says, the home team is going to be due for an upset today.

I wasn’t thrilled by the Creighton win. We have to beat them at home or they could easily have a better resume with a season sweep.

Now we possibly will have to play UCONN twice with McNeely which is a better team then the one Creighton beat. Also if UCONN cant get their act together before he comes back they could drop out of the top 30 of the NET which would make our home game a Quad 2 game. If this happens we could only have 4 more quad 1 opportunities.

The Marquette loss was good as it makes our win over Xavier look better.

Lets win tonight grab 1st place, get ranked, get Smith back and win the conference.

U Conn losing is always good. Full stop.

Even better when they lose to a team I like.
