Around the Big East

Not just him, shoutout to Cooley, Holtmann and Matta. Kudos goes to the Big East office for making the Lou button mandatory for all head coaches and their staff members. The coaches who didn’t wear sweaters were Shaka, McDermott, Miller and Neptune. Hall pass for Sha since they don’t play this weekend. We’ll see what English does tomorrow.
Saw pic of Miller with an ugly sweater (shaking hands with Cooley)

Providence not backing down from UConn, up 12 at the half
I don’t know if it’s better for us if Providence or UCONN wins this game. We want UCONN ranked as high as possible when we play them but we’ve already beaten Providence on the road and could sweep them.

Long way to go but for those posters claiming our win on the road at Providence without their best player was not impressive I guess if Providence wins at UConn without that same player wonder if that changes your tune?

Again long way to go with big swings in games but up 12 must mean that they ain’t dog poop.

Another thing that makes the poor OOC performance by the BE is tough, is the conundrum of what’s best for games like this.

A Providence win could put them back in to the top 75 and quad 2 worthy for us. But a strong UConn means bigger opportunities for us down the line. I think the BE would prefer that the couple times uconn loses at home are to teams that could be in a the hunt for a tourney bid. Not sure that’s Providence.

I hear ya. But in the end I would think UConn will be high enough for it to still be better Providence wins this.
