Around the Big East

Almost an impossible situation for us the way we’re playing right now. We better win today!!
Our issue at the moment is we can't consistently make shots behind the arc. We've been defending well for the most part, so that's not an issue. As poor as we've been shooting; we're still in games. Once (or if) those shots start to consistently fall then we'll win quite a few games and several of 'em will be won going away.

Agree, but will add where things have to change v good teams is execution at crunch time to close out those “nail biters” (Ga., Baylor, Creighton)

Most level headed thing I've heard in a while on this forum. You can't win games only making 2 three pointers (Georgia, Creighton). Shooting will improve.

Enright got hurt for DePaul and Nova is just killing them. Feel like DePaul is worse than was thought entering Big East play and maybe Villanova is better.

DePaul beat nobody in the non-conference. Wichita St. was the biggest name, and they've had better teams than this. They needed a miracle 3 to force OT in their season opener. If that doesn't happen, they might be looking at only a marginally better record then last year. Blowing the conference opener vs. Providence didn't help, either.

Villanova has Eric Dixon, who will win games for them by himself. I expect them to be similar to our Marcus Hatten squads.

I agree DePaul is bad but Villanova has shot 14-22 from 3. Highly unlikely they can do that against us but as we see if you can shoot eventually some will go in.

Agreed Dink.

Nova 3-1 but their wins are against Hall, Butler & Depaul. Next three at home against UCONN then at SJU & Xavier. Expect them and Gtown to come back to earth quickly.
