Around the Big East

Thus far the early LMF views that

- UConn is good but unlikely to be at the same level as the last couple of years

- DePaul would be improved and not finish last for a change

- Nova had a good chance to finish last in the league

- Marquette might survive the loss of Kolek and Iguodaro pretty well given returning talent and continuity

Are all looking decent.

But it's still very early.

Xavier 7.5 favorites, Georgetown two point underdogs against ND, Seton Hall 15.5 point favorites against Wagner.

Would be nice for BE to sweep those plus the other buy games in the evening.

Also interesting decision to have ND/Gtown be the lead-in game on NBC to ND football. I’d love to have us play ND in home/home in the future

Add Shaka’s masterful leadership 😇

So much for our great defensive effort against Wagner they have 20 points at the under 12 minute mark of the second half against Seton Hall.
I wouldn't read much into the difference there. Seton Hall had to play that game today like it was its Super Bowl. After coming off two losses to Fordham and Hofstra where they couldn't crack like 50 points. If they lose that game, all hell would be broken loose.

I give Shaka full credit for the things he's good at: recruiting, holding, and motivating talented players, and building a positive culture that players want to be a part of. And he's obviously a capable coach, you can't compete and win consistently at a high level based solely on the list in the last sentence unless you have some idea what you're doing.

The best comp for him might be Steve Lappas, whose skill set profiled very similarly as did his results against the top echelon of coaches who had comparable or minimally inferior player talent but were superior tacticians.

I will now try to make this my last Shaka post for the season. But will probably fail because of provocoteurs like you, Paultz.
