Around the Big East

I’ve never seen a game winning dunk be a smart play. So happy I’m not a friar fan, although very familiar feeling.
Agreed. When you try to aggressively throw it down for the win, you make it hard for the refs to give you the call, especially late game, because you are the aggressor/initiating the contact by trying to stuff it down.

It’s a tough call for refs but not because offensive player is initiating contact as it is his shooting motion which he is entitled to

Look at what Rutgers did to #11 wisconsin today, pounded them by 22 points.
Great win for them, but Wisconsin may be leveling off a little bit, here.

I don't think they were ranked preseason. They may have just overachieved for 3 months. They haven't looked good for a while, now.

Remember when there was a string of upsets around the country and especially on X our fans were saying it’s our time for a big upset win? Seems our motto is more like It’s Never Our Time! ☹️

Not true Bama, the offseason is always our time! We fly high during the offseason after a few recruiting pickups ;)

Same thing I always say about the jets, our best night of the season is draft night (unless we take a QB) 😂

I wonder if the seton hall board is in a similar state of pessimism at this point in the season.

They are about to be 2-4 in their last 6 (barring a big second half @Nova), with the only wins being over DePaul and Georgetown. And the Georgetown win wasn’t smooth sailing either.

This is why I say don’t give up on a top 5 finish and first round BET bye justtttt yet. Some other teams might also be coming back down to earth in this conference

Seton Hall's remaining Big East schedule, is similar to the schedule we've played, so far. A downturn for them was inevitable, although it took longer than I thought.

That being said, I'm surprised they're on the outside looking in, in most brackets. Maybe it was when they played them, but beating UCONN and Marquette, without any real bad losses on top of it, should be worth a lot, IMO.
