I wonder if the seton hall board is in a similar state of pessimism at this point in the season.

They are about to be 2-4 in their last 6 (barring a big second half @Nova), with the only wins being over DePaul and Georgetown. And the Georgetown win wasn’t smooth sailing either.

This is why I say don’t give up on a top 5 finish and first round BET bye justtttt yet. Some other teams might also be coming back down to earth in this conference

While I don’t approve of what Cooley said, it’s kind of harsh to get on a coach in his first year with a new team. It’s only a matter of time till Cooley has championship caliber team there and I don’t even like the guy.

Still marvel at his St Peter’s achievement, guy can coach and his teams are consistently gritty. The SH NIL limitations is a challenge for him though apparently.

Doing more with less, regularly exceeding expectations, dangerous, plays hard & does what it takes to win close games…and also beat UConn. 9-5 in BE while we’re 2 games under .500. PC & Hall were still clearly behind us under Lavin. Since, they have far surpassed us & lapped us. Until proven otherwise we’re a bottom 3 team with close friends GTown & DePaul.

Yup. This is really bad. No one thought we would be in the bottom tier of Big East teams. A massive dissappointment.

Pitino struck out big time in the portal. Pressure is on Rick as he needs to bring in 2-3 studs in the portal this offseason. He cannot miss the tourney again next year.
