Around the Big East

I know that the Big 12 has talked about basketball only schools but it doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. UCONN is the oddball in our conference and Gonzaga would be a better fit. I don't have the hostility towards UCONN that others do as I like that we have the chance to play a top ranked team in conference but the reality of it is it would make more sense for the Big 12 to take in UCONN for all sports and for Gonzaga to join the Big East.

Maybe its fair to call Dan Hurley an elite coach now.

One way I'll put it is this.
1) Would you bet against UCONN this year and the next five years from making another Elite 8, etc.? If I put the o/u at 1.5, what would you go with?

2) Is there anything about his basketball acumen that would lead you to choosing the under?

I don't watch UCONN games against Kansas, Gonzaga, etc. and think UCONN is at a disadvantage coaching-wise.

Somehow we beat them last year on road as like a 16 point dog.
I thought this was about xavier at first and almost snapped at you because I remember sitting at a bar in complete misery as we got absolutely shellacked at Xavier last year 😂

A "nice win" by name only. Notre Dame hasn't played well this season, as their now 4-6 record indicates.
Well, G'Town was lucky to be 6-4, playing without its leading scorer, playing at ND, and was a five point underdog. That is a nice win for them and it helps the conference overall rating any time our weakest teams can beat any school from a power conference.
