Around the Big East

No reason we can't finish third, yes it's a stretch but seeing Creighton get blown out and knowing we will finish ahead of Nova puts us in the mix. Now watch as we finish seventh...
Not so sure we will finish ahead of Nova. The talent is there and they have had some big wins blowing out Memphis and beating North Carolina. They may just be a work in progress as is the Johnnies. Who knows which Nova or Johnnie team will show up come conference play. Still too early to predict anything but I get the sense that when Luis returns we may be clicking on all cylinders.

Trilly on Butler

Yes! This team is good! I watched their game against Texas Tech the other day and I was thoroughly impressed with the stable of guards and wings Thad Matta pulled from the portal. It’s funny how things work out. Pierre Brooks was a fringe rotation guy for Michigan State last year.

Now he’s Butler’s leading scorer and shoots 42% from three. I have to imagine he would’ve had more of a role this year with Sparty, but man sometimes a fresh start is all it takes. I’m also not surprised how well Jahmyl Telfort’s game has translated either. 6′ 7″ buckets don’t grow on trees. And Posh has done exactly what known commodity Posh does. Solid defender and won’t lose you games on the other end.

Crappy rule that, except for clock review, only a call on the floor can be reviewed. But they can't overturn a no call. A mistake is a mistake. Rule makes no sense to me.
It's a bs rule, why not have a coaches challenge then? Like in hockey, a coach can challenge but if he loses it, the other team gets a power play.

If basketball let the coach challenge but if he loses then award the other team 2 FT's.

I think that for the most part , Posh was treated well by the Johnnie fan base ., He should have no doubt about that . He will be treated and greeted nicely when he returns to CA for the Butler game …

Once the game starts is a different story ..

Big East taking a beating here early with Villanova and Providence. Let’s one of them turns it around at least

Villanova down 33-25 at the half to K-State.
Neptune’s boys shot 5-20 from three point range. Also have missed 22 of their last 23 shots from the floor. Lucky to be down only.
Xavier in a dogfight with Delaware right now 11 minutes left down 5. This would be a horrible loss at home for Xavier and the conference.

Xavier gave up 87 points to Delaware at home. If we don’t pound them when we open up against them at home there’s a problem
