Around the Big East

Evidently they left out part of his statement, which was “I have the best backcourt in the league, from the waist down.”

After watching Dylan for the past three years, we always wondered the hell was he thinking (or trying to do)!

Shoulders* down. Waist down would be kind of weird. :)

That is a weird comment: "From the shoulders down."

If I applied that theory to NFL QBs, Justin Fields and Zach Wilson would be the next Elway and Marino.

The head (brain) is an important thing to leave out when talking about positions that are the lead facilitators for the whole team on the court and the field respectively

Its a dig implied they need to think and make better decisions.

He is talking about Richmond and Dawes. And he has to do something to get something out there positive about that program and his guys after what has been going on with that program.

Or one could argue anyone who questions what this conference means to UConn needs to have a very good look at their schedule and winning percentage in the AAC.

I still believe the BE saved UConn from oblivion. They were a middle of the pack AAC team, who missed the tournament more often than made it, while playing in front of a half empty arena.

Admittedly, I have an unnatural sports hatred for UConn, especially since they always had a built in advantage of being a state school with tax dollars at their disposal. But even that wasn’t helping them in the AAC.

But that’s just ornery old me.
UConn has won 3 national championships in the old Big East, 1 in the AAC, and 1 in the new Big East in the last 25 years. To me that is evidence that they can win anywhere. The downturn was more likely due to a poor job by Ollie.

There is no question that being in the Big East is better for them than the AAC, but that’s not saying much.

They won the championship their first year in the AAC with Calhoun’s BE level roster.

UConn would not have won another championship in the AAC. At the rate they were going, they would have a hard time just making the NCAA tournament, let alone winning a championship.

With different head coaches.
