Around the Big East

Watching Marquette vs Kansas State. Marquette up by 4 with 9 minutes left.

Bigger news. K-State has the worst uniforms that I ever have seen.  Rec league teams have nicer uniforms.

I turned on the game and my first thought was their real uniforms must have gotten lost at the airport and they were using their practice gear (which was still hideous).

#15 Uconn lost to W. Virginia

56-53

Caught the end of that game. UConn was actually up late but looked absolutely lost on offense for the last 5 minutes. Give credit to Huggins defense.

Good win for Marquette.

Our last two out of conference opponents playing each other tonight - Colgate at Pitt.

Seton Hall over #4 Texas!! Great win for the Big East! Their second Top 10 win. Everyone but us.

A healthy Aiken makes seton hall go.

When does the player who spurns us out of high school return as a senior to lead SJU? Seems like we’re always second best

Not as a senior but Mustapha Heron was the first big time recruit that everyone thought Mullin had a chance with out of HS.

Anyone looking for a bet tonight I love depaul getting 7.5 vs louisville.  Heck if your feeling frisky, take them on the money line.

Depaul is good this year and well coached.  They are going to be a problem in the big east.

Nice call Duke! 62-55 DePaul wins!

The new coach has completely changed the program around.  He is excellent.

At this point, Gtown and St Johns are the 2 worst teams in the big east.  Every other team has a signature win on the season.

Good call Duke

For those interested in betting, keep an eye on DePaul. Right now, the line reflects their recent sordid history, not current team and coach.
There will be bargains to be had (such as tonight), until Vegas catches up.

By my math the league is 80-21 in non conference play. Take out Georgetown and their 4-4 record and it's 76-17.

Not too shabby at all.

Haven't had time to look at the overalls of the other power conferences

Hey duke. Next time put it in the sports investing thread.

If creighton and gtown win today, st johns will be the only big east team w/o a signature win on their resume.
Syracuse NET is 111.  Monmouth's is 45.  At this point in time Monmouth is a much better win.  If Georgetown wins it only gives them a Q3 win.  Syracuse name sounds good and all, but as far as being a signature win, they are not that, at least not right now.  As far the committee is concerned they are the same as our Fordham win.

With that said I'm rooting for Georgetown, they are the only team in BE right now with a bad NET, any type of win outside a Q4 at this point is going to help them greatly.
