Around the Big East 19/20

Not sure your point.
If anything Mullin was the smart one not showing up for his official visit.

If PC holds on for a win at Nova they go 10-6 in BE and are almost certainly in tourney. Quite a resurrection Cooley's bunch has put together after awful start. Even if they lose today, they have favorable schedule, finishing up with Xavier & Depaul at home.

Too many folks sold PC short early. Kudos to Cooley and Co. if they pull this one out. They always pick it up late. Who would have guessed that we’d be trending in complete opposite directions.

Pipkins has generally had a disappointing year for PC but man when he is on there is no such thing as a bad shot. He's been red hot the last few games. Great weapon with the lead as he is money from the line.

I thought they would play better (they could not have possibly played any worse), but I didn't think they would have a winning record in the Big East. Their schedule to start Big East play was on the softer side, but give them credit for taking advantage, and gaining confidence from it. Ed Cooley is always at his best when the chips are down. McDermott is my pick for Coach of the Year in the league, but Cooley is a close second.

Their last 2 games are Xavier and DePaul, both at home. No excuses now, if they miss the NCAA Tournament.

Funny, Pipkins killed PC early in season forcing things, but has come around down stretch & carried Friars a lot offensively. Nice PC win over Nova today! Who called Providence “fools gold”?

Always nice seeing nova lose.

So goddamn pathetic when they were chucking 3s at the end, every single nova player tried to flop their way to a call or stick their leg out. One after another. It was like a clown show

With about thirteen minutes left in this afternoons game Seton Hall looks like they are one of the best teams in the country.

Trivia time: Right after Marcus Howard hit a big 3 to cut the Hall’s lead, Tim Brando said “Calling Dr Howard!”. How many of my fellow old timers know what/who he was referencing?

Nothing gets past you!
The only thing separating Prov and SJU is that they perform well at the end of games.
The two things separating us from Providence is that they have Alpha Diallo a go to guy in the clutch and they have Luwanne Pimpkins a true Point Guard to handle the ball.

And two beefy, competent interior guys.
