Around the Big East 19/20

@NJHoopsHaven
The Big East has named Myles Powell Player of the Week.
Averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals as the Hall went 2-0.

Nova is a 2 point dog tonight. If they lose tonight and we beat Gtown(which we should), we will have the same BE record as Nova through 3 games. Whod a thunk it.

Xavier’s win over St. John’s Sunday on FOX is the network’s most-watched college basketball game EVER

This is a statement on the power of a lead-in from an NFL overtime playoff thriller.

id be curious to know how many of those 2.3mm were there at the 10 min mark in the 1H... wonder how they get that number.... how many had FOX turned on at tip-pff...?

given that 30.5mm tuned in for Saints/Vikes, retaining ~8% aint bad for two unranked teams

Doubleheader on fs1 tonight:

7:00 PM - Providence (2-0) at Marquette (1-1)

9:00 PM - Villanova (1-1) at Creighton (1-1)

Agree always wondered how they measure this as far as duration of view

Credit to Cooley for starting to dig out of big hole. Reeves played great game down stretch.

PC 3-0 in BE with two road games, not bad.

Creighton schooling villanova. I fear no team more then creighton. I think thats our worst matchup in the big east. I want no part of them.

I had no idea that Zegarowski is the half brother of Michael Carter-Williams. There’s definitely a basketball gene they haven’t isolated yet..

Long season, I bet they salvage it.
That fact seems completely lost on some many posters.
Salvage what?

Tell me what their ceiling is?

Losses to Northwestern, Penn, Charleston, Long Beach St and now URI before conference play? What do you think their RPI is?
10 BE teams in the tourney hunt?

Let's review this one more time......

Say what you want, but Coach Cooley and Coach Willard are quality coaches. As we should know......you can't win Big East games by accident.

I said Cooley would get this team together and he did. They will get a lot better as season moves on. Willard is a solid coach but I think Cooley is better. Willard has cheated too much landing talent. It inflates his success.

Looks like Cooley's team will give him a shot at improving his 1-5 NCAA record.

Wright deservedly named coach of the decade. Having said that, McDermott is an excellent coach as well. Creighton with no stars, just play solid team ball, make shots and don't turn it over a lot.

And Villanova prevails on the road. Their young kids keep getting better, while Gillespie, Bey and Samuels continue to excel.

Providence knocks off Marquette on the road in OT
Nova comes from behind to beat Creighton on the road
Another roller coaster season in the Big East
Great stuff - no weak teams - anybody can beat anybody on any given night
The Big East - the most exciting conference in the NCAA!!!
