Around the Big East 18/19
Terrible play called by Francesca’s favorite coach
They put the ball in the hands of their best offensive player just as we would do with Ponds.

Shocked booth didn’t just pull up and shoot when he turned the corner, not Wright’s fault. We could’ve suffered the same fate had Anim not fallen down on defense on our game winning possession

Exactly
Call me crazy, but I am not going to be critical of Jay Wright.
Why, you think winning two NCs in the last 3 years builds you some kind of equity?

Boothe can be unselfish to a fault sometimes, IMO.
Honestly don't understand how results of those two teams against each other effects us. We play them both twice so aren't wins and losses vs both those teams on our part equally affected? I would think it would only matter if we end up playing one of them 3 times and then it would benefit us if it was against the team with greater success which at this point is unknown.
Marquette winning, can only help us, even if we don't beat Nova.

Because even if we don't (I actually think we match up better with them, then against some other teams), we would still have gone 2-2 against the Nova/Marquette combo. Considering that the rest of the Big East is on pace to go 0-4 against them, that can only be good for us, at least against the other Big East bubble teams.

Appreciate your attempt but how is anything you said affected by what Nova and Marq do against each other? On second thought don't even attempt to answer that because I have a feeling eventually my head will explode trying to figure any of this out.

Its friggin amazing how we can play against the 2 best teams in the BEC, ant then throw up on almost everyone else. So damn frustrating.

If Heron doesn’t play we lose again versus Butler. This team needs their full compliment of players to play well. Roberts performance was the only positive. He needs to get some time against Butler

Random thought and I am sure it's been mentioned. Patrick Ewing is doing a great job at Georgetown. Not sure how they'll finish this season, but the future looks bright for them.

Depual up 5 at Xavier, with 2:22 to go. If that score holds, there will be a five way tie for third in the Big East. It'll just be a question of whether Creighton or Seton Hall is that 5th team (Bluejays by 4, with 3:40 to go).

They indeed do look to have a bright future. But interesting that you posted this on a day they lost a game they should have won!

Seton Hall beats Creighton by 5.

Bad news for us, because I believe that puts us as the 7 seed in the Big East Tournament at present (since we're only 1-4 in the mini-conference tiebraker).

Seton Hall just won. Five way tie for third place. Crazy season. Although we should be in third place all by ourselves today!

I agree that we should be 6-5 in the BEC.
But think about that.
Even that would be underperforming from what many on this Board, including me, thought we’d be after 11 games.
I thought 8-3, with losses to Nova and Marquette and Butler away.
Others were probably more realistic, but I bet 6-5 was an ‘under’ for most on this Board after the first 11 Conference games.
