Around the Big East 18/19

Paul Reed will have a chance to play at the next level if he stays 4 years and continues to develop. DePaul is having a pretty good year despite what most on this board think. After they beat us everyone chalked it up to Ponds being out but the truth is they are a bad matchup for us and Femi is a big reason why. Also they have been without Coleman-Lands who is arguably their best shooter. Its funny when we are recruiting a guy he is greatest thing since sliced bread but if he goes somewhere else
well he wasnt that good anyway. Femi has been huge for DePaul and Kofi is a Top 100 recruit (actually top 40) and im willing to bet not a bad kid. Its ok to give credit when its due, its like a guy who trys to pick up a chick and if she is not with it now shes a bitch lol. Its childish to me. No excuses we should have Femi on our team but dropped the ball; he would of been the missing piece for us to dominate the league this year. We have it all except a legit big guy who can score and rebound consistently.

This Femi dude is legit. DePaul will be an interesting team to watch. Talent is there to maybe make a little run in the BET[/quote]

Would have been a perfect banger for this team either as a starter or off the bench. The fact that a kid from LI with an opportunity to go home but instead decided to play in the same conference for a program considered a perennial cellar dweller drives me nuts.

Last 3 games, 22/10 tonight, 23/5 against Butler and 27/8 against SJU. And as an added plus he was 10-10 from the FT line. Damn...[/quote]

You mean you wouldn’t have hammered home the fact the staff settled for another transfer? ;)

An immediately eligible grad transfer big...uh no.

If I have to explain the difference between that and a regular transfer then we can stop here...

“And let’s remember, if [strike]LJ a juco transfer[/strike] or if [strike]mustapha, an immediate eligible transfer[/strike] Femi, a grad transfer big didn’t land in Mullins lap, where would they be?”

Reed is a good looking player.

It will be interesting to see how Mullin prepares defensively the next time we face DePaul. Ate us up inside, not the only team I know.

Whatever we do, it will be St Jean preparing.

Are you on staff and attending practices?

Nice to see Jalen Brunson get 30 minutes for Mavericks last night: 16 points, 5 assists, 1 turnover. One of his better games so far.

Creighton vs Hoyas last night was a good watch .. Alexander , who could not hit a Barn against us , lit up the Hoyas from 3 last night .. Akingo is going to be a very good PG for GTown but, right now goes to the hoop a little too much and gets his shot blocked or loses the handle . I think Ewing might be a little tired of him ignoring Govan at Crunch time and trying to do it all . Also surprised McClung did not see much time in the second half ? Maybe Foul trouble ? I didn’t keep track . Both.these teams have Excellent Long Range shooters and not just 1 . I still think we are missing that spot up 3 point guy . Dixon could have filled that role . I don’t think either he or our Team benefited from his leaving . But , maybe others know better .

Jordan Tucker really gives Butler an added scoring punch they desperately needed.

Hopefully there’s room in the big dance for both us and butler, cause if not they might take our spot

Nova such fun to watch, up 4 on Butler. Wright doing a nice job as usual integrating players after roster losses.

Butler btw is 1 & 4 on road, completely different team away from Hinkle. They need this one at home & have a shot.

Nova will be up 10 on you in the blink of an eye. Player development there is unmatched and a thing of beauty. Nova will beat you and also take advantage of an opponent's mistakes. So under control and smooth. Interchangeable parts and there's never a lull or a big run they let up. By the way, why can't we ever get the type of player like McDermott? 3 star kid #287 nationally can shoot lights out and has a bit of height. Not the most athletic but still quick enough to hang in there.https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2015/sean-mcdermott-65971
