Around the Big East 18/19

Struss is a unique player, though. 6'11" perimeter player. He should be able to just shoot over our guards. Hopefully, he's off the mark on Saturday.
Struss is 6'6"
That's what I meant to say, 6'11' - 5".;)

Good player. But, I find that he kills DePaul as much as he helps. Takes way too many early in shot clock deep threes. Often contributes to droughts that lead to losing big leads.

Mistake prone.

When did St John's lose? I haven't seen them lose yet.

Another huge game on the road. If we can win it, it could be a huge step towards our goals of being a tourney team.

Butz, Reed and Femi are all 6'9 and they play 6'6 guards.
This will be good test because DePaul is actually a big team.
You may have missed today's game but the Blue Demons height was a problem for Seton Hall. Those 3 6'9 guys accounted for 21 rebounds.

Femi looks closer to 6'6 than 6'9. Most sites list him at 6'8. The two 6'9 guys they have are thin and don't have a prayer covering ou guys.

Simon and LJ had 18 boards against Gtown.

Watched most of game and DePaul power guys played very well as per Willard’s comment that DP won by their bigs dominating paint. Give credit where due, although I do agree their bigs will find it hard to guard our guys.

I have seen DePaul play a couple of times. They are a pretty good team. Do not underestimate them. They will play SJU close. SJU will/should win close game. More worried about Nova today. Would really get the hype train rolling if they win. All the publicity is good for the Program and recruiting.

DePaul would be 13-1 if games were 30 minutes long.

Wednesday, January 9th:

6:30 PM - Georgetown at Xavier - FS1
7:00 PM - Marquette at Creighton - CBS SN
8:30 PM - Butler at Seton Hall - FS1

No Big East games on Thursday or Friday.

Seton Hall is a 3-point favorite tonight over Butler. Surprised line isn’t higher

Looking forward to watching this one and scouting Butler a bit. Easier for me to sneak off and watch the 8:30 games than the 6:30 ones; I save the 6:30 disappearing acts for our games.

We almost certainly would have lost to Georgia Tech if that were the case. At least one of the games in Brooklyn as well, maybe both.
