Around the Big East 18/19

AJ Reeves is the @BIGEASTMBB Rookie of the Week for the third time in four weeks. He's the Big East's top freshman scorer (13.8 ppg.) and is shooting 48 percent from 3-point range.

Future star imo
Lavin and Gottleib both just said St. John’s is the best team in the Big East. Especially, when they get Keita back. For what it’s worth. Although, Gottleib then said, but someone has to beat Villanova

Niagara beat Pitt 71-70. Great win for Chris Casey and Father Mahar.

Good chance to scout PC tonight against a decent Boston College team, who has gone 6-1 including wins over Minnesota & Loyola of Chicago despite shooting only 66% from the foul line and 30% from three.

BC over Providence at half 43-39. Chris Herren Jr. off bench sparked BC with 3 threes

Providence over BC in OT. Great game ... but, man, that "color guy" whoever he was, he was pro-BC, criticizing every call by the refs that went PC;s way. Anyway, good win for a BE team. (Gotta say, I look at BC and think, What the hell are they doing in the ACC.)
Wow, this PC freshman, AJ Reese is really special. Great bookends with Duke.
Big win for Providence on the road. Hit a 3 to tie it at the end of regulation and won in overtime. Paultzman's boy Reeves with a big game.

It is pretty damn disappointing to see Reeves and David Duke have such a huge impact as freshmen on that team. I wish we had freshmen making a similar impact. Oh well.

Patience Jack. Providence has made it to the NCAA tournament five years in a row. Cooley has built something significant up there.

I know, that color guy was a jerk, made BC losing all the more sweeter.

Cooley's a very good coach who can really recruit. We play them kind of late in the season when those two freshman guards should be even better.

Fortunately we don’t need freshmen guards making a similar impact this year.

Providence also has a 6'7 guard from Harlem named Alpha Diallo. Trimble, Dixon are good players too but a notch below imo.
