You're in luck! The NYC Police Department has been quietly ordered to stop all arrests for the "smoking" of weed. As for access, I recommend Washington Square Park.;)

Nova is losing a lot if Spellman and Donte go. No reason why we shouldn't finish at least top 4 next year.
No reason why we shouldn't finish in the top four?

Reason #1: Getting out rebounded in almost every conference game
Reason #2: While Kieta is on the bench, no answer for anyone over 220 lbs. in the paint.
Who do you realistically have ahead of us? Nova and Marquette are the ones that come to mind. everybody else will have huge questions marks to fill. The league lost a lot of talent this year.
I have Nova, Xavier, Marquette and Providence ahead of us right now. But thats just me.
I become very optimistic IF Ponds returns and we get that Grad Big.
I see us vying for the BEC Title and high seeding in the BET if that occurs.
IMO, we'd be in the hunt all season with Nova, Marquette, Providence, Butler, and us--battling for position, with G*town and maybe Xavier potential spoilers'.
Let's go Johnnies.
If we get another big I can see us in that top tier. I'd hesitate just because it's us; but I could see us finishing in the top 3 if all breaks right. I think Steele will pick up right where Mack left off. Butler is Butler they should get a bid too. Georgetown will be at the bottom of the league if they lose Govan, unless they get Hines or Lewis. As it stands i have us competing with Butler for the 5th spot. DePaul might actually be competitive next year especially if Strus comes back. It will be a deeper conference for sure. This stuff is fluid though because teams are still losing and adding guys.

Yes, would be a strange and exciting season for us to be in the heat of it all year. And would get noticed by our top recruiting targets also.
"We shall see."

Interesting that this kid apparently chose Seton Hall over several high majors at least in part because of a connection with their new AC Tony Skinn, who is also from Nigeria. Just another example where having multiple staff members helping on recruiting is important.
Well, we hate to admit it, but Willard has done a better job than anyone we have hire in last 15 years.
Agree JF. Cannot but, to this point.
Willard’s last 4 years at SH have been very solid: 84-48, with over 20 wins the past 3; but he was 66-66 in his first 4 years, and 150-114 in his Hall tenure so far.
Because of our emptied roster in CM’s first year, I do not believe it fair to attempt to compare Mullin to Willard’s first 4 years at this point.
“We shall see”...down the road.
Amazingly there are still a bunch of SHU faithful that think they can do better than Willard. Maybe they can. Hell I thought 2 NCAA berths in 5 years after 8 years of futility was a welcome change. So what do i know.
Lol. Yeah, puzzled how many can be disgruntled with an 84-48 record the past 4 years. But, as we know, fans can be 'unreasonable'!
And he wears a tie!

Program changing type of player. Makes you think Leitao has some leeway here. In other words my guess is even if DePaul struggles again this year they are going to give him a 5th year since they know how difficult it is to win there and maybe Weems can turn things around starting in 19-20. As opposed to firing Leitao after 18-19 having Weems get a release and then start all over again.

Recruiting has really picked up for them; now they just need to translate that to the court and get some wins.

How is it possible that DePaul is out recruiting us?

Both teams sucked last year, but no doubt SJU had a far better year. At least we were nationally relevant for a couple weeks. I don't think DePaul won a game anybody knew about.

Maybe that new arena of theirs is finally paying dividends.

You mean more so than "venerable" CA?

They didn't lose 11 straight, which likely cost J'Raan Brooks.
Didn't Depaul hire an assistant from an AAU or local program that has connections with certain kids..
Yes and it was a smart hire too...he used to coach at La Lumiere a top prep school in Indiana.

Rivals does not support your belief that DePaul recruited better during the recent 2018 cycle.

According to Rivals
DePaul received 2 recruits for the 2018 cycle both 3 star:
George Maslennikov 3*** , 6’8” forward
John Deiner 3*** , 6’4” guard

St. John’s received 4 recruits for the 2018 cycle including two 4 star recruits
Greg Williams. 4 **** , 6’3” guard
L.J Figuroa 4**** , 6’5” guard
Marcellus Earlington 3*** 6’6” forward
Josh Roberts 3*** 6’8” forward

You omitted Femi Olujobi.
He'll start for DePaul, and would have started here, had mullin bothered to be on campus for his visit.
Thanks for participating.
